We Are. We Will. We Shall Not.

There exists no human being who does not discriminate. There is no individual within  Homo Sapiens who does not exhibit or feel some bigotry or prejudice.

Racism is different. It takes thought. One must consider oneself superior based upon one’s own race (skin color in our age, economic status in another age, nationality in still other ages).

The Liberals who are protesting this election are exhibiting bigotry as we speak. They are, in effect, saying that the half of the Nation who voted for Trump are ignorant, befuddled simpletons.

Many Liberals and Conservatives acted out in this same manner during the whole of the Election season.

We’ve all done it. We’ll all continue to do it. It is human.

Discrimination and prejudice are most often naught but ignorance and fear of the unknown, the stranger.

We are human. We will always be human. We progress superficially but we remain in many ways the same Homo Sapiens creatures who ventured forth from East Africa some 50,000 years ago. We are the beasts who arrogantly dubbed ourselves “Wise Man” and  caused the extinction of our fellow Humans (Neanderthalensis among others known and unknown). We fear the unknown. That fear drives us to madness and we murder when in the realm of psychotic madness.

Nationalism, borders, political parties and the like are nothing but tribal associations writ large with pretensions of civility. Humans are anything but civil. We speak of the sanctity of life yet will go to war with the barest of provocations. We kill the unborn in droves. We speak of Liberty yet we incarcerate millions for daring to possess and/or smoke a nature provided plant that has actual healing properties. We are not fit for civilized society. It is the height of arrogance to suggest that we have ever been a civilized people.

We are unenlightened in the main. Brutal to the core. Distrusting and inhumane. Yet, we can be and have been beautiful, wondrous beings. The horror of war brings out the best in us.

“It is well that war is so terrible, or we should grow too fond of it.”— Robert E. Lee, at Fredericksburg.

We are conflicted. We will remain conflicted.

Perspective on People and their Scribblings

051794ee6dc54b3232750912eb467f8dbad845-wm

From my experience, one can take anyone from before the Politically Correct era of 2000 Forward and call them a bigot based on their writings. It doesn’t matter who we’re discussing. Even today, one can find bigotry in nearly anyone’s writings. If you one wishes to dismiss the ideas or writing of any person because of that one aspect, one would wind up dismissing nearly the whole of humanity. From W.E.B. Dubois to George Washington to Ronald Reagan to Bill Clinton, every last person who has put thought to paper has written something that is or could be construed as racist and will be construed as racist or bigoted by future generations. This is especially so with the current hyper-sensitive generation of Liberal.

If one wishes to seriously discuss a person or a social issue, one must take the whole of a person and the whole of the body of writing or work into consideration. Short slices or quotes from persons are excellent for memes and deconstruction of selected persons. However, this never gives a true and satisfying window into the soul of the person whom one is attempting to understand.
If character assassination is the goal, memes and selected quotes/slices without context are excellent weapons. Yet, they only serve to distort and distract.
Hillary can be made to look the fool if we take selected comments and opinions. Even Einstein can be made to look the dithering fool using his words detached from context against him.

Noam Chomsky is an especially dissected author and thought leader. If one takes only Chomsky as critic of Israel, one can make the man out to be a supporter of Islamic Tyranny. If one takes only his views of Vietnam or Cambodia into consideration, one could make Chomsky out to be a supporter of genocide and communist tyranny. Yet, if one reads the whole of his works and uses an overview thereof, one can see that Chomsky is a great critic of Imperialism as a whole. His views are as valid if not more so than many others of his generations and this one.
To know and understand a person from history, one must know the whole of the life not selected pieces of that life which are pulled out selectively with an agenda.

Jefferson can seem a genius or a racist crackpot depending on the level of knowledge of the man. Ceaser can seem the despot or the liberator. There is not a human being who has tread across the globe who cannot be made to seem monster or hero depending upon which work or word one chooses to use in support of one’s views.

Real Discussions on Race

rcar1
Planned Parenthood was founded by a rabid racist.

“We should hire three or four colored ministers, preferably with social-service backgrounds, and with engaging personalities. The most successful educational approach to the Negro is through a religious appeal. We don’t want the word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population. And the minister is the man who can straighten out that idea if it ever occurs to any of their more rebellious members.”

Margaret Sanger

Che Guevara held racist ideas in his youth and may have carried them forward into la revolucion’. Not a living human knows for sure what was in the heart of Che’. What cannot be denied is that he was an exceptionally brutal, murderous and bloody revolutionary.

Nathan Bedford Forrest was the author the Fort Pillow Massacre. He was also a founding member of the Klu Klux Klan.

Forrest also went on to disavow the KKK. He helped shut the doors of the KKK in his lifetime. He also spoke against the murder of Black Americans by criminals. His words. He called them criminals. He advocated for more humane treatment of the freed slaves and advocated for their admission into law school in Tennessee.

“After only a year as Grand Wizard, in January 1869, faced with an ungovernable membership employing methods that seemed increasingly counterproductive, Forrest issued KKK General Order Number One: “It is therefore ordered and decreed, that the masks and costumes of this Order be entirely abolished and destroyed.” By the end of his life, Forrest’s racial attitudes would evolve — in 1875, he advocated for the admission of blacks into law school — and he lived to fully renounce his involvement with the all-but-vanished Klan.”

Forrest changed. He renounced his racist past. Compared to our age, Forrest more than likely went to his deathbed with what we would consider bigoted attitudes. Yet, he did more for Black Americans than your average Democrat or Republican of our time.

If Forrest and the Confederate Battle Flag should be purged from the American Landscape, so too should Margaret Sanger who agitated for the extermination of the Black Race and Che Guevara who wrote openly of his bigotry and murdered many more and in just as cold blood as Nathan Bedford Forrest.

If we are to “cure” America of racism via the purging of symbols and historical figures in some Maoist Cultural Revolution, we should look to all symbols of racism, hatred and bigotry. Targeting only the Right is not the answer. West Virginia’s Robert Byrd, Lyndon B. Johnson, Woodrow Wilson all were at least as racist as any leader of the Confederate States of America up to a point in their lives and possibly to the end of their lives.

Strom Thurmond was a Democrat turned Republican. He switched parties allegedly over the Civil Rights movement. Democrats make this statement despite the fact that Republicans voted FOR the Civil Rights Act of 1964 on average at an 80% rate while Democrats voted for the the Civil Rights Act of 1964 at a 63% rate.

Strom Thurmond also had a Black daughter which, I’m sure, helped to modify his racial attitudes. He put her through College at an HBC. He also supported her throughout her life.

Racial attitudes are rarely simple…rarely “black and white.” Race is a complex issue. The issues of Race, Racism, Bigotry and Discrimination cannot be brought to resolution simply by ridding ourselves of symbols and statues.

There must be real and open communication. Putting White Teens through guilt trip driven reality TV is no discussion. That will come to no good end.

The discussion must be open. It must be real. It cannot be one sided. There are millions of White folks out there who are not racist. There are millions of Black folks out there who aren’t racist. There are also other races in America who are often left out of the discussion. The discussion cannot be a “People of Color” against White People dialogue either. White Privilege only goes so far when you live in a Trailer Park and are dependent upon the government and educated in one of America’s Branches of Public Wage Slave Propaganda.

What must be realized is that racism will never go away. Bigotry will never go away. As long as there are two humans or two groups of humans, one will vie for supremacy over the other. In old Europe, Race was Class. One’s class determined one’s place in society. The Race that we recognize today is a product of Colonialism and European Oppression, Suppression and Exploitation of the world.

Yes, Slavery was a part of that. However, it was only a component.

If we are ever going to come to a place of understanding, we have to understand that how we understand and react to race is based upon the lies of Colonialism and that these race based ideologies were thrust upon us.

Once we begin to comprehend this, we can move towards a better understanding of who we are as a HUMAN RACE. The Color Line is as artificial as Jim Crow, Apartheid and Mao’s Cultural Revolution.

America’s Problem is Classism; Not Racism

This is an issue of Institutionalized abuse and bigotry.

This is an issue of Classism.

It is not a race issue.

White, Black, Asian, Arab, Latino, Hispanic and every other non-Elite citizen of America is being disabused of their rights in America due to the institutions set up by the two political parties and the sheep who vote for them.

Black people don’t need allies. We all need to form an alliance against the bigotry and abuse of the Federal, State and local governments.

I take umbrage when someone tells me that I need to ally myself with Black people because they are some kind of special victim. They are not.

The American Police, or as I call them State Thug, is the friend of no Citizen. They are extortionists, rapists and pillagers. They are scum. The Governments and their officious bureaucrats are the issue here.

When Black people are led to believe that they are special victims, it serves only to hurt them.

It serves also to hurt everyone else.

Go out to the country/rural areas of America, you will see just as much poverty and much, if not most of it, is White poverty.

It is all oppression. It is all the denial of opportunity. It is all tyranny.

That Black people are fooled into believing that it is them against White people is naught but a tool of division used by the Democratic Party to keep that Black voting block in place.

White people don’t hate Black people. White people have their own problems. White people have to feed their own children and protect them from the abuses of the State.

I abhor the racial division created by the Democratic Party and their minions.

And don’t attempt to blame the GOP. The DNC held the Presidency and the Congress for the better part of the past decade. Even so, Black opportunity saw a decline the whole of that time. If the DNC is so good for the Black Citizens of America, how is this possible.

Certainly, Republicans do nothing for the Black Community in America. This is a matter of course. There is less than a 5% possibility of a Black person voting for a Republican. Republicans, like Democrats, have constituencies. These constituencies are voters. If the likelihood of the Black Vote going to a Republican is all but nil, why would a Republican give a damn about a Black voters.

It all boils down to votes.

As long as the Democrats know that Black Citizens are all but guaranteed to vote Democrat, there is no reason for a Democrat to do anything except for the usual talk.

As long as Republican know that an ice cube will freeze in hell before the Black Citizen Community will vote for them, Republicans will continue to ignore them.

The result is the same. Lip service from the DNC including Barack Obama and Republicans simply ignoring the Black Citizen.

The Bigotry of the “White Privilege” Crowd

White+Privilege_73b698_4873377

The notion of White Privilege is inherently racist.

Those who push this bigoted screed are accusing every living White Person in America of treating White People better than people of other races. You are accusing all White People of being racists.

It’s a generalization. It’s nonsense. It is simply not true.

They are also saying that my accomplishments whatever they may be are based not upon my own sweat and tears but upon the color of my skin.

My only answer to that is not a nice one so I’ll not type it here.

It’s not “White Privilege” as it has nothing to do with color. It is being a member of a majority. It could be called “majority membership privilege.”

This notion that I am privileged because I am White is nonsense. If I were born White in Asia, it would not be a privilege to be White. Were I born White in Africa, I would belong to no privileged majority unless I was born in the nation of South Africa.

I was born White in America. Therefore, I am a member of the dominant race. It was not a privilege. It was an accident of birth.

I was born into mild poverty. We weren’t destitute. We were poor. I was not privileged to have been born or raised poor. I was not privileged when I basically had two choices after High School — the Military or likely imprisonment.

This “privilege” to which I am supposedly privy as a White person in America has nothing to do with my color. It has everything to do with being born a member of the majority group in America.

Certainly, by looking physically similar to others in the majority group, I am treated differently. However, this is not always a positive and this does not always work. Nor does this “privilege” extend to all members of the majority group. For instance, White Homosexuals are treated extremely poorly by the majority group. Explain to a White Homosexual how they are privileged. I’m sure you’ll get a tart reply.

There are more White Americans in poverty, more White American Children who are homeless and hungry, etc.

Being a member of the majority group anywhere will always have it’s advantages. However, this can take one only so far.

So, pls, stop trying to tell me how privileged I am because I’m White. I’m not buying it now nor will I ever buy it. It’s a stale, moldy piece of propaganda that serves no purpose except to turn me off to the plight of others.

That I do not believe in “White privilege” does not blind me to prejudice, bigotry or racism. I know that these things exist. I know that these things do harm to minorities and women and others. However, that I am not prejudiced against by some White Americans does not mean that I am not discriminated against in America or in the wider world.

Racism, Bigotry and Prejudice are not unique to America. Not every American has spent the whole of their lives in America protected from the wider world.

This is one of the basic assumptions of White Privilege. My white skin doesn’t carry the same credit in all places. In some places & in some situations, my white skin is a liability. This is the same for the fact of my citizenship. Being an American does not make me universally loved nor does it open doors for me everywhere I go. In some places, being White and/or American has closed doors to me.

I suppose if one has lived all of one’s life in America and has had to deal with only American challenges, a “White privilege” may exist to one extent or the other.

That being said, when I was a child, I was treated often as though I had no worth. Teachers treated me this way. This was due to my “class” and not my color. The kids from affluent families were treated well. The Black kids were treated differently by some of my teachers. The poor White were treated like “po’ White trash.” Perhaps this was a Louisville, Kentucky thing. I heard a few teachers talking about it. “He comes from a poor part of town. He’ll never amount to much.”

I have known prejudice.  I have known bigotry. I have known racism. I have experienced each first hand. Inside and outside of America.

To tell me that I am privileged and to act as though I have never experienced hardship due to my race is to deny my life experiences. The notion of “White privilege” diminishes me as a human being.

All of this nonsense is going to backfire one day. There will be a backlash. People are going to grow tired of being told that they are inherently evil and owe people whom they have never seen an apology for things which they’ve never done.

Peggy McIntosh, the inventor of White privilege, is obviously an affluent White person who does not interact with people of other races or economic classes much if at all.

I can, if I wish, arrange to be in the company of people of my race most of the time.

(This is not true of all White people. This is mostly true of folks in the Northeast. How is one “White privileged” if White is the only race with whom you live, work, etc.)

I can go shopping alone most of the time, pretty well assured that I will not be followed or harassed.

(This is not true of all White people)

When I am told about our national heritage or about “civilization,” I am shown that people of my color made it what it is.

(One cannot change this fact. This is being part of the cultural majority. If one lives in Asia and is White, this would not be true.)

Whether I use checks, credit cards, or cash, I can count on my skin color not to work against the appearance of financial reliability.

(This is not true of all White people.)

I can be pretty sure that if I ask to talk to “the person in charge,” I will be facing a person of my race.

(This depends on the region, city, area. Not all areas, cities or areas are White dominated. Over 50% of my First Sergeants in the Army were Black.)

I do not have to educate my children to be aware of systemic racism for their own daily physical protection.

(She seems to be oblivious of school systems wherein White kids are sent to predominantly Black schools as part of “Bussing.” I had many friends who had to be extremely aware of race when I was growing up. If they weren’t, it could mean a trip to the hospital.)

Most of her examples are that of a privileged AFFLUENT White person (Woman) and not the experience of the AVERAGE White person. I’ve read Peggy’s propaganda and her knapsack nincompoopery. Her experience is not that of “White America” but her own experience. I’ve never been able to NOT interact with people of other races. I’ve always lived near and interacted with people of other races. I’ve always been around Black Authority figures…my whole life. This started with my First Grade teacher who was a Black Woman. In the military, I always had Black persons in my chain of command. Both of my Drill Sergeants in Basic Training were Black. Post Military, my last two immediate supervisors were Black.

I left the military over a decade ago. My Boss at this job is Black. My Deputy Program Manager, to whom I directly reported, at my last place of employment was a retired Colonel who was Black. The last two guys whom I replaced were Black. My last five immediate supervisors non-White.

No, this is not the experience of everyone (every American). Neither is Peggy McIntosh’s experience or her “White privilege.”

The thing is that people can read the McIntosh nonsense for what it is — ridiculous White guilt propaganda that Peggy dreamed up to make herself feel better about her life of affluence and being born with a silver spoon. People can also spot ignorance and self deception when we see it.

Any person who falls for this White Privilege bunk is either a racist or an Affluent American who has never existed outside of their own comfortable rich person life. White Privilege is not the common experience of the White American. It is an experience of the 1%.

Other Issues in the Ferguson/Mike Brown/Darren Wilson Tragedy

Surete-du-Quebec-Thugs-Arrest-Thomas-Harding

I agree that race is involved in these kinds of cases. However, race is not involved in all of these cases.

The Police kill White people as well.

Black Cops kill non-Black citizens. Are those shootings affected by race? I couldn’t say.

I’m not saying that race is not AN important issue in the MB shooting.

I’m saying that it is but one issue.

Another important issue is the total lack of police accountability (aka qualified immunity). That’s an important one as well. Police can shoot the wrong guy in the wrong place at the wrong time for the wrong reasons BUT simply because the Cop felt threatened can get away with murder.

A Cop can literally walk into a Citizens house with intent to take anything he wishes and shoot the owner. The Cop can say that he smelled marijuana giving him probable cause. The Cop can shoot the Citizen who confronts him and claim that he felt threatened…that his life was in danger. The Cop can take a kitchen knife out of the Citizens kitchen drawer and lay it at the side of the Citizen.

This is a plausible scenario.

Cops have and do plant evidence.

Cops have and do enact character assassination.

Cops have and will shoot just about anyone.

Yes, race is an issue. Yes, race is an important issue. However, race is not the only issue.

If they take the rights of all Citizens away by destroying the US Constitution, race won’t matter a wit.

Everyone will be oppressed.

Darren Wilson ultimately shot a teenager for being in the middle of the street.

Brown probably attacked him. Brown may or may not have had his hands up.

How did it come to pass that Brown attacked Officer Wilson? How did Wilson put himself in position to be attacked? How did the situation escalate? Did Officer Wilson aggravate the situation? What did Officer Wilson say or do, if anything, that enraged Mike Brown enough so as to commit what amounts to a suicidal act in America (violent confrontation with Police forces)? These are important questions as well.

Dear Black People…and the rest of America

13914-1 I know.  I know…I’m racist because I said “Black.”  Anyway… Dear Black People, Pls wake the fuck up. It’s the 21st Century. You have to take what you want. You can’t be a victim. Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson are wrong. Not every Black American who finds success in “White America” or who joins the GOP is an Uncle Tom. The Police are corrupt and have always been corrupt. This corruption affects everyone in America. It does not only affect Black people.

Most White people are no more racist than most Black people.

Cops are Cops. Many, if not most, are corrupt, ignorant, bigoted, ill trained assholes.

Stop blaming White people. It’s long past due that this is a viable complaint.

I travel the world. Everything that Black people in America complain about has happened to me in the wider world. It’s not a White thing. It’s not an American thing. It’s a human thing.

Get over the race card. Not everything is about racism. Some of it is about what you do or do not do in this world.

Opportunity does not just come to people. People have to seek opportunity.

I work with quite a few Black people who don’t sit back and wait for someone to hand them an opportunity. They go out and make it happen.

Lots of people do this and find successes and failure. The best of us do not blame someone else for our failures. We get up and try again. We do not let failure immobilize us and blame the World or the Man or the Government or our Mommy or our Daddy. We get up and start again.

I get so tired of hearing whining little welps cry about what’s holding them back. Everyone in this world has something holding them back. I come from a family wracked by poverty and alcoholism and abuse. I got out of there and did my own thing. I made it happen for me. I made it happen and am making it happen where I am a minority and where many folks do not like me simply because I am American and White. I’m not whining about it or laying down. I’m making it happen for me and mine.

When Americans start lopping off heads with machetes and/or smashing heads with sledgehammers or shooting Black people simply because they are Black, then I’ll see a real issue. As it is, we have Cops who react violently towards Black people in a Government headed by a Black President with a Black Attorney General.

Perhaps, the problem is more complex than simply White on Black crime. Especially when 90% of crime against Black people is committed by other Black people. But…I know…we don’t want to talk about that. We only want to talk about White on Black crime which is less than 10% of the issue.

The lack of dialogue about Black on Black crime is disturbing and is racist on the part of Black Leadership. Let’s ignore the larger problem and talk about the small issue because it’s easier and there is an easy target. Let’s ignore the elephant in the room because that one is too difficult to solve and we can’t blame that one on some outsider like White folks or “The Man.” All that said, I look forward to seeing Dear White People. Apparently, there are a lot of ignorant White folk out there who haven’t a clue. However, that is America and Americans — Black and White Americans. Most of the idiots who live in America are pretty darned clueless. They’ve never been further than the largest city in their State much less the wider world. Americans need to travel. They need to get out of their little towns and their neighborhoods in their big cities. The world is amazing. It’s also a dangerous, beautiful, deadly, lively, incredible, breath taking place. The world can kill you. It can bring you life. It can give you perspective. Perspective is what most Americans lack.

This is exactly why Americans can feel guilty about events, circumstances and history that is common to the whole of the human race and feel uniquely smug and self satisfied at feeling said guilt. Americans think that America is so unique that their racism is exceptional and that their crimes are special. To many Americans, racism is America’s special shame. They feel this way due to their own ignorance of the wider world. Americans feel exceptional not only in that they feel that America has a special prerogative to dictate to the World but that we feel especially bad about the past and the actions of our ancestors. Americans actually believe that they are unique. The reality is that there is nothing unique about America. This has all been done before by Rome, Britain, the Mongols, the Chinese, the Japanese, the Egyptians, the Sumerians, the Phoenicians (who might well have come from Africa) and a whole host of Empires across the ages. Every good we have done and every evil we have committed is a repetition of earlier Empire…even our special, exceptional arrogance. American Blacks are not special either. Every trial and tribulation through which they have passed and through which they will pass is a repetition. This is the World. This is humanity.

And I find it especially humorous that the racism in America is so horrid, so wretched that one of the greatest complaints that Black Women have is that people touch their hair out of curiosity.  Then again, there is the terrifying stereotype about Waffles and Chicken. Though, I have had Black friends since I was 5 years old and am now 45 and have never heard of this nonsense. OH…THE HUMANITY!!! Who do Americans try so hard to be offended by…well, anything. It’s impossible that so many could be so offended by such trivial nonsense. It’s a profession now. We have professional Outrage Commissars who tell Americans exactly when and by how much we should be offended.  WOT WOT!!!

In summation…GET OVER YOURSELVES, AMERICA!

These girls are cute. I mean really, really cute. They made me laugh and, better yet, smile. I hope I have daughters who are as intelligent and precocious and beautiful as these two gals.

I’ll leave you with a prophet.

WORDS ARE NOT RACIST

images (1)

Words are not racist. Racism is about intent. If I say a word and mean nothing racist by it, that word is not racist.

I’m a White dude. My Black friends tell me that I’m a “Nigger” all the time. I’m not offended by it. Hell, I’m one of the few White people around who can say the word to Black people and THEY aren’t offended by it.

It’s all about intent and relationships.

I get called White boy, Cracker and all kinds of things such as that by Black people. It’s because they know that I’m not concerned about faux outrage or the color of their or my skin. I’m concerned about the content of their character and their intent.

What is meant when someone speaks is more important than the words that are used. If I say; “Call a spade a spade.” to a Black person, I don’t mean it in a racist way. I mean that one should speak plain. If I call someone a Black Bastard, I’m always joking and, actually, making light of the racism that pervades cross racial relations in America.

People know who you are. They will react accordingly.

Words are tools. Words can do no harm except to the mentally and emotionally weak. The problem with America today is that we have raised a couple of generations of mentally and emotionally weak persons who embrace victimhood.

America should grow a pair and stop being offended by every utterance. Get off the phone, get off the computer, get out of your shell and get to know people.

Racism will always be with us. It is a global phenomenon. In America, it is comparatively mild. I’ve lived all over the world and the racism in other parts of the globe is virulent and deadly as compared to that of America. We have made great strides in coming to understand each other as a people. Do not discount this.

CharlieBrownRacistI think what disturbs many CRACKERS is that no matter how much they reach out, the hand is smacked back by raceprofessionals like Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson and those idiots on MSNBC and at Daiy Kos.

Not all of American White people give a damn about racism. They’ve got their own problems. Racism is not something that a poor or lower middle class White person is going to spend a whole lot of time thinking about when they have to struggle to put food on the table, a roof over their children’s heads and everything else that goes into surviving in consumerist America.

e61daced46044ed4e75746a84418005250ec74117e571fc8e06becf1effbd92bBefore people can come to terms fully with ideals such as racial harmony, they must be secure. Most Americans simply do not feel secure enough to spend a lot of time thinking about race. This is something that liberal elitists spend time constructing and deconstructing. The average White American just wants to get through the week and spend time at home with their family orhave a beer on a Friday Night. Some of them even have those beers with people of other races.

Perhaps, I am an outlier but I grew up with people of other races. Immigrants from India, Pakistan, Black Americans, Hispanics and Asians were my friends from grade school up through High School and in the Army.

I’m never quite certain what to make of made up, faux issues such as words that are “racist.” It all seems like hogwash to me. When I ask my Black friends about this stuff, the majority of them look at me like I’m nuts.

And when you get right down to it, Miley Cyrus is really Justin Beiber in drag.

Obama & the Race Shield

Bizarrely, racism in America is no longer mainly about race. Sure, race is involved in a peripheral manner, but racism has mainly become an excuse, a dodge, a way to escape responsibility.
When a black liberal is criticized, he cries racism. When liberalism fails, liberals cry racism. When the Democrat Party gets in trouble, liberals cry racism. It has become the ever present background noise of politics, like birds chirping in the forest.

I am White. I have friends of nearly every race, religion, ethnicity and political persuasion across the width and breadth of this planet. My earliest friends were Black, White, Hispanic and Asian. Included in this mix were Muslims, Hindus, Christians and Jews as well as a couple of Atheists. Most of these folks until this past decade were American but now, I number amongst my friends peoples from countries as far and wide as Scotland, Egypt, Cambodia, Thailand and Brazil.

I have been friends with this great mix of peoples for as long as I can remember.

These are not just people whom I label as friend and then ignore. I keep in touch with these people. I live with them. I work with them. I have helped them find employment. I have hired them for employment. I have assisted some financially. I have helped them improve their English. I have taught some life skills and job skills. They have hired me and recommended me for promotion.  I have learned life and job skills from them.  I have enjoyed their company and companionship and do so at this time. I have invited them to my homes and the home of my parents and siblings. I have played with their children and befriended their families.

I have debated various topics ranging from culture to religion and politics with them and discuss said topics and opinions with them openly. I agree with them on some topics and disagree with them on others.

I have lived my life openly and with as much love, warmth, humanity and companionship as is humanly possible.

Yet, if I dare not agree with Obama I am a racist.

On a smaller playing field, these same accusations were thrown at me when I dared to criticize Tubby Smith at Kentucky. Yet, when I criticize John Calipari, I am simply called a dumbass. lol

Does no one else see the evil in this?

“Racism” is constantly at the forefront of the Obama Administration conversation.

I am not saying that racism does not exist. However, the Democrats reacted in similar manner to all things Bush. The Democrats called Bush every name in the book and even conjured more juicy names and labels for him and Cheney. No one said it was because of Race.

Republicans treated Bill Clinton far worse than they treat Obama. Yet, racism wasn’t constantly thrown in the face of the opponent.

Race, for better or worse, is a factor in nearly every facet of life across the whole of this planet.

The Obama Administration and Democrats act as though racism was invented in America by White Southerners.

It’s a ruse. It is a sidebar. It’s a deflection. It is cover and concealment for corruption.

They called the opponents of Nagin in NOLA racists. A few years later, Nagin is found to have been a corrupt turd and that corruption was a major factor in the fiasco that was Katrina.

Yet, no Democrat has come forward to say; “Doh! They were correct. Nagin was a turd. There was merit to the accusations and criticism.”

Racism with the Obama Administration is a crutch and nothing more. It has become meaningless.

Obama could be assassinated by the KKK and because of this administration’s constant use of Racism as a political tool, I’d find myself doubting that racism was the real reason behind the assassination.

This despite the fact that I have witnessed real racism against the Obama Administration.

More Signs of the Coming Backlash Against Muslims in Europe

A bit sensationalistic, this.  However, some truths lie within.  Regardless, this video will upset the masses of Muslims around the world   Hopefully, they’ll realize that it wasn’t made by Americans as we usually are blamed for everything.

All religions have skeletons in their closets. The “Virgin Mary” impregnated by God at/abt age 13. Did GoD get down with the boogie in the Virgin Mary or did he just reach up there and throw a baby inside?  Muhammad, the Prophet of Islam, married a girl somewhere between the ages of six and nine.  No one knows for certain and the actual age is hotly contested by Muslims and “Infidels” alike.  The one thing that the record makes clear is that he did not have “relations” with her until she had “passed her first blood.”  Mohammad also had multiple wives as did nearly all of the Prophets of the Bible.  Such was the custom of the times.  Abraham, the great patriarch of all three major Western Religions, pimped his wife out at least two times.  Both times, he denied that Sarah was his wife.  Both times, he allowed her to “marry” a local ruler by deceiving said ruler into believing that Sarah was his sister.  Abraham also sexed up his consort (slave), Hagar, in order to bear a child.  Did Jesus not say “Let he who is without sin cast the first stone?”

The Europeans in this video and elsewhere are complaining about the actions of a subset of Muslims.  They are complaining that nothing is being done to counteract the criminality of this subset.  Here’s the thing, though. Muslims in Europe are being treated differently because of European Culture and European Politicians. Who elects these creatures? Oh….EUROPEANS!

If you do not like what is happening, stop electing these people.

The other problem is the immigration programs of these nations.  Immigration, at certain points, was selective.  Europe took in oppressed peoples.  They accepted immigrants with certain needed skill sets such as Doctors, Engineers and Scientists.  This was a wise policy.  In the past 40 years, European nations have accepted all comers.  Many of these people journeyed to the Scandinavian nations, France and Germany because of these lax immigration measures and because of the benefits and “entitlements” offered by these nations.  These people had nothing to offer but the “equality” mindset of Europeans made it so that all immigrants were seen as equal.  There is an issue with this egalitarianism in that all people are not equal.  Some are base criminals.  When a country accepts large numbers of these undesirables and treats them as the oppressed when they are actually the oppressors, these are the problems that will arise.  Europeans, primarily because of the World Wars and Colonialism, became myopic and wished to offer themselves as reward or recompense.  The guilt of the collective European nations overwhelmed sense and has created a situation in which large numbers of criminals were accepted and their activities excused as being “part of their culture.”  That sentiment in and of itself is bigoted.  All peoples have morals.  Even the “other” who arrive from distant lands.  To act as though this subset of folks are representative of any culture is ludicrous and bigoted.  It is an insult to those who are of those cultures who do act with common courtesy and are law abiding, moral peoples.

I’ve long said that there is coming a backlash in Europe. That old race hate will again raise it’s ugly head. Muslims in Europe had best pay heed. Europe has a long and nasty history of murdering the masses of immigrants who come to their lands.

The past 60 years has been an anomaly in European history. With the resurgence of Nationalism and the threat from the old Russian Empire raises, Europe will revert to form.

All it will take is a major economic slowdown. Muslims will become the targets of massive hate. Some will deserve it. Others will not. Some will have laid the seeds of their fellows destruction. Others will be innocent victims. When the wave strikes, it will destroy the lives of many innocents. It is coming. If you read between the lines, Europe is close to the edge.

It does not matter that it is a small percentage of Muslims who are guilty. All will suffer. All will reap the whirlwind.

60 years in the face of thousands of years of history…the “tolerance” of the “new Europe” will be wiped away and blood will run in the streets.

Muslims would be well instructed to police their own. Yet, this will not happen.  Eventually, they will all pay for the actions of a few.  Europe will set itself afire and the dead will pile up as the pyramids of old.  The blood will be on the hands of all.

The Racism of the Gun Control Crowd

Image

You may not have noticed it but it’s there.

A WHITE Person is killed in a firearms related incident.  The Liberal Left goes insane.  Full on berserker mode.  Heads spinning!  Exorcism worthy.

A BLACK Person is killed in a firearms related incident.

….
….

….

….

….

….

Yeap, that’s right.  That’s about what you hear.

Trayvon Martin had nothing to do with gun control.  Doesn’t fit.  The Martin-Zimmerman hullabaloo was all about Stand Your Ground Laws.  Even though Black folks benefit more from the “Stand Your Ground” laws in this nation, the Left will tell you that these laws are racist.  The only time that race comes into the question is when it is a Black Male shooting a White Male.  In those instances, Black Males are at a cultural disadvantage when it comes to Stand Your Ground laws.  The Left won’t tell you the full story.  One has to research this to find the truth.  The Right doesn’t want to talk about that last bit either.

The oddest bit about the Martin-Zimmerman contrivance was that Zimmerman isn’t a White Person.  He is Half-Hispanic.  If Half Black Obama is Black, why is Half Hispanic Zimmerman White?  That is the Left in action.  Duplicity.  Hypocrisy.

There have been approximately 9,000 Black on Black murders since Trayvon Martin was killed by Zimmerman.  Have you heard about this?  No, you haven’t.  Why?  Why does the left not use this as part of their Gun Control dialogue?  Maybe they don’t want to seem racist by highlighting Black on Black crime.  It’s taboo.  Discussing Black crime will see one branded a racist by the Left.  They can’t very well have an open dialogue about this issue if they won’t allow anyone else to honestly and openly discuss it.

Black people in America suffer from gun violence so disproportionately as to be nearly unfathomable.  However, we can’t discuss this.  One problem is that discussing race is taboo in the Age of Obama and “post-racial America.”  The Democrats have painted themselves into a corner.  They won’t allow anyone else to discuss it.  This makes it nearly impossible for the Left to discuss it.  When Black leaders discuss it, they are marginalized and called Uncle Tom’s because “How dare they jump off message and out of the Democratic Plantation!”

America ignores the violence challenge of Black communities.  The only reason that Trayvon Martin received any press was that incident’s availability to the Left as a racial baton with which to bash America, the Red States, WHITEY, Red Necks and those who failed to obey by voting for Barack Obama.  If it weren’t for the political usefulness of Trayvon and his hoody, no Democrat in America would have given it one second’s thought.  That includes Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton who are the greatest race pimps in the history of mankind.

I will concede that Martin was murdered.  The reasons that I assign are quite different.  The Media has been portraying Black people on the news, TV and in movies as violent and out of control.  Reminders of Watts and Rondey King and O.J. Simpson are ubiquitous.  Black people are portrayed most often on TV as gang banging, hoody wearing animals on TV.  TV shows such as The Wire, Southland, The Shield and more portray all Black people as either corrupt or violent.  There are very few positive Black characters on television or in the movies.  The News may as well show pictures of Fallujah when they speak about Detroit or Chicago and it’s Black denizens.

With that in mind, White people start to see Black people as they are portrayed.  This country is only 13 to 15% “African American.”  Most White people have never had meaningful interaction with Black people.  They know of Hollywood stars, rappers, assorted other artists and Sports figures who are Black.  We’ve all heard of Marion Barry and Roy Nagin, Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson.  For many White people, these people ARE Black People or “African Americans.”  This picture of Black America is informed by the news which is always about violence (if it bleeds, it leads) or corruption.  If this was the only thing that you knew about a group of people, how would you react when you encountered them.

I’ve known Black folks my whole life.  I worked with Black folks in the Army.  I work with Black folks overseas in Afghanistan and
elsewhere.  I’ve had very few violent encounters with Black folks.  The one truly violent and racial encounter that I had with Black people was in Baumholder, Germany. Image I was jumped by eight black guys who thought that I was alone.  They jumped me and tried to beat me down while calling me a “dirty ——ing CRACKA!” and “F—-ing Honkey” and that sort of thing.  One of them yelled; “I got your massa’ right here” as he hit me with a brick in the face.  I yelled for my friends who were around the corner.  They came to my aid.  Two of those friends were Black guys.  We rough them off together.  I’m proud to say that I broke one of their shoulders with the brick with which they had earlier hit me.

How does one hate Black people for a bigoted beating attempt when those who came to your aid were also Black?  It’s kind of difficult.
This leads me back to WHITEY and the Gun Control Crowd.  There have been somewhere around 80 “mass gun murders” in the past decade killing approximately 200 people.  Primarily WHITE people.

In that same time frame, there have been thousands of BLACK folks killed in America.

Yet, the only time that the Left gets it’s faux outrage up into a self righteous lather is when it’s WHITE people being murdered in White neighborhoods.

I find this interesting.  I, also, find it further proof of the duplicity and callous bigotry of the DNC.  Race is only a problem in America when it is convenient to the Democratic National Party.  If race cannot be politicized, it is rarely raised as an issue.  This is the very definition of hypocrisy.  This is the Democratic National Party or Committee as it is called.

P.S.  Now think about all of the Police murders in Black communities.  The numbers are bewildering.  But let us not talk about this.  We’ll be branded “extremists” by the transparent Obama Administration.

Bigotry in Afghanistan

a_time_cover_0809

Let me preface this by saying that I am by no means making the statement that all Afghans are bigots or racist.  Nor am I stating that all Afghan National Security Force personnel are bigots.  That said, racism and bigotry are rampant in Afghanistan.

It is a shame that folks come to Afghanistan from all over the world to try to lend a hand and their efforts are repaid with racist attitudes.  Bad enough that corruption has made it all but impossible to make real progress here.  Measurable progress inn our endeavors in the Stan is extremely difficult to sustain.  This is bad enough.  When advisors are ignored simply because of the color of their skin or the shape of their eyes, this only makes the job more difficult.

I have served in mentor and advisory positions for roughly 5 years in Afghanistan.  I’ve worked with the Afghan National Police in Herat, Farah, Ghor and Badghis as well as with the Afghan National Army in Kabul both with the Kabul Military Training Center and the Afghan Partnering Unit.  In each of these locations, I have discovered that Afghans, who see themselves as “White,” have harsh and negative opinions of peoples of Asian and African descent.

If one has the appearance similar to Hazaras, one is automatically looked down upon.  A mentor who looks Hazara is all but ignored.  I have discovered the same attitudes shown towards African Americans and all other African peoples.

While I was in Herat, the ANP would make disparaging statements about Barack Obama during his candidacy openly mocking him because of his skin color.  They started calling my African-American counterparts “Obama cousins.”  They had this attitude towards anyone who looked remotely African American.  This attitude carried forward in their mentor/advisory relationships with African-Americans as well as any Asian peoples.

Asian peoples would be called Hazari and thenceforth ignored being seen and treated as valueless.  African Americans would be treated similarly.

I experimented with this a few times by having one of my team members discuss subjects with them and make suggestions about areas well within his expertise.  None of the Afghans would take him seriously or attempt to put these suggestions into action going so far as to tell said team member that the suggestion would be impossible to implement or that it was a bad idea.  Usually they would employ the favored Afghan tactic and say; “This is not in our culture.”   I would make the same suggestions a week or so later.  The Afghans would usually act on the suggestion within a week or so.  Same suggestion, sold in much the same way.  One Black person, one White person.  Completely opposite reactions.

At my newest location, I discussed these racial attitudes with my interpreter.  He replied that I may be correct.  I have been able to step in here and get positive results in a much shorter time than my counterparts.  I have noticed the relationships between my fellow advisors and the Afghans.  From my vantage point after watching and listening for a month, there is no reason that more improvement could not have been made in a shorter time.  However, two of the advisors with whom I work are Black.  Both of them are experienced.  Both of them retired military.  They have the expertise to get the job done, to advise and to mentor.  Both of them have been here in Afghanistan around 4 years as civilian advisors as well as having deployed to Afghanistan and Iraq while serving in the military.

Neither of them have made great strides in this position.  Something toxic existed.  That toxicity was, I surmised, the racism of the local Afghan officers.

Fast forward to a week ago, I told my interpreter that the reason that one of my counter-parts was having issues was the racism of his Afghan counterpart.  My Interpreter gave me that “OKAY…” look and laughed it off.  A couple of days later, this Afghan told me that he didn’t like “Africans.”  His word for Black people.  I looked at my Interpreter with raised eyebrow but said little.  I’m not here to preach at anyone concerning moral issues.  That said, I decided to put into action a plan to turn this Afghan Colonel towards the side of light and away from racism and prejudice.  I’ll have to be subtle but anything is possible.

I’ve run into racism all over the world.  For some odd reason, many Americans and especially the more naive people on the Left, believe that racism is “America’s special shame.”  I don’t see it that way.  Racism in America is mild as compared to that of Thailand, the Gulf and Central Asia.  I’ve encountered racism, bigotry and prejudice the world over.  It has hit me from all sides.  I’ve been treated preferentially in places like Afghanistan and Cambodia because of my “bright skin.”  I’ve also been treated as if I were less than human or automatically judged negatively due to the color of my skin and my national heritage.  Being an American pays off well in most cases across the world.  At times, though, being an American will be cause for instantaneous and harsh judgment.  This is mostly the case with liberal Europeans who have a special hate for all things American.

I find it unfortunate and shameful that African Americans leave behind racism in America only to find racism on the opposite side of the planet.  That same racism can be found all over, though. It is not unique to Afghanistan.

Myself, I’ve found it best to see people as they are.  Through their actions and their interactions with humanity.  Judging a person by the color of their skin or because of their place of birth or religion of birth is a wretched lens through which to see the world and interact with our fellow humans.  I have met good people and evil people of all races, nationalities and religions.  There is not special combination that magically informs me as to a persons goodness or lackthereof.

Judging on superficialities is the only sure way to close oneself off to the beauty that exists in the world.  I have met wonderful people because I have refused to judge people based upon anything else but their individualism.  We are each of us unique.  No person should be judged based upon any subset or group.  To look at another and instantly come to the conclusion that they are unworthy of me is in and of itself a shameful sin.  To come to this conclusion simply because they have darker skin than I…that must be the greatest sin against humanity ever conceived by man.

Black Leaders in America and the Race Card

Image

Attorney General Eric Holder, who has suggested that critics of the Obama administration are motivated by race and referred to America as a “nation of cowards” on race issues while blasting Americans who resist more gun control laws, suggested that those opposed to President Barack Obama’s policy agenda of “fundamental transformation” are quietly prejudiced.

This idea that one cannot disagree with a Black President without being a racist is why I would think twice before ever voting for another Black President.  I have witnessed this dynamic time and time again when a Black person has been called to lead.  It doesn’t matter whether the Black person is hired to lead a College Basketball team or elected to lead a State.   If one does not agree with said Black persons policies or if one does not believe that said Black Coach is leading that program forward or simply winning enough, one is automatically labeled a racist.

Why would I wish to place myself at the mercy of the race-baiters by electing or hiring a Black official?  It has been the same with every Black leader whom I have witnessed in America.  Ralph Nagin was accused of corruption.  All of his accusers were labeled racist.  A few years later, Nagin was caught red handed.  Has an apology been issued by the race-baiters?  No.  Have the race-baiters acknowledged that they were incorrect and that Nagin was actually corrupt?  No!

Tubby Smith could not recruit well enough or coach well enough to keep the University of Kentucky Basketball program in contention for the National Title.  Kentucky underwent it’s longest Final Four drought under Tubby Smith.  Players were not consistently being drafted in the NBA.  When drafted, guys like Rondo and Prince were under-rated because of the Tubby Smith Ball Line D system.  Tubby was no Rupp.  He was no Pitino.  He was no Calipari.

Last year, I criticized Calipari because I thought that he had his team underachieving.  There were no cries of racism.  I was merely called spoiled or an idiot.  Any time that I criticized Tubby Smith during his tenure, I was labeled a racist even when Tubby Smith had made an obvious mistake.  For instance, when he pulled a player from the foul line early and caused UK to be given a technical foul which cost the team the game, I balked and critiqued the boneheaded move.  Even so, I was called a racist.

I see this with any issue involving a Black leader.  One cannot be honest about Black leaders in America.  For to be honest and to criticize them is to automatically be labeled a racist.

Now, we have Anthony Holder telling us that we cannot disagree with Barack Obama.  If we do not march in lock step with Obama, we are surely racists.  Never mind that the economy is stagnant.  That’s not Obama’s fault.  I guess it’s Whitey’s fault.  Never mind that they actually tried to cover up Benghazi and PC sterilize it when they really didn’t need to do so.  Never mind that Holder is attempting to establish more stringent gun control.  It’s not the policies or the outcomes with which I disagree.  According to Holder, it’s simply the color of Obama’s skin that causes me to disagree with Obama and believe him to be nothing more than another puppet for the Banking Oligarchy.

I fully realize that prejudice exists in America for it exists the world over.  Prejudice, racism, bigotry — these will exist as long as two humans exist in the universe and are vying for control of finite land and resources.  This is a part of human nature.  We segregate ourselves willingly.  We do so eagerly.

America is separate from Canada and Mexico.  People who speak Spanish segregate themselves from folks who speak Arabic.  Those who associate themselves as Pushtoon willingly segregate themselves from those who identify as Tajik and Hazara.  Muslims eagerly segregate themselves from Christians.  Sometimes, we separate violently such as the great rift between Pakistan and India in 1949.

Politically, I disagree with Obama as much as I disagreed with George W. Bush.  Yet, I am a racist for disagreeing with Obama and not a racist for disagreeing with Bush.  I thought Guantanamo should be closed and the prisoners either tried or deported back to their home nations.  I disagree with universal wiretapping.  I disagreed with bailing out banks.  I disagree with gun control.  I disagree with the corporate welfare state pushed by both Obama and Bush.  I disagree with the criminally neglect energy policies of Obama and Bush.  I disagree with the fascist and statist War on Drug policies of the puppets of the DNC and GOP.

When I disagreed with Bush, Republicans merely called me a “liberal.”  When I disagree with Obama, Democrats call me a racist.

This state of affairs cannot continue.  This nation, America, was built with a guarantee that I could disagree with my government.  That I could protest my government.  That I could petition and assemble peaceably to inform my government that I was displeased with their performance.

Yet, with a Black President, if I show my displeasure, I am automatically labeled a radical.  A hate criminal.  A potential or real terrorist.  A Racist and a Bigot.

This cannot continue.  There is no honest dialogue allowed when this is the rule in all conversations concerning Black leaders.

RACISM: The Question is Always Skewed

“Hidden Colors” — a documentary series about the cultural history of African Americans, identity and race in America — recently released the trailer for it’s third installment, “The Rules Of Racism.” And it looks good. The project features various speakers from scholars to entertainment vets like Nas, KRS-ONE, and Paul Mooney who begs the question: ‘whites have always done whatever they wanted to black people, so what are the rules?'”

How is that question not, in and of itself, racist?

“[W]hites have always done whatever they wanted to black people, so what are the rules?”

Whites or White People is a subject that apparently enthralls some Black people.  The obvious answer to your question:  THERE ARE NO RULES!

You aren’t dealing with “Whites” or “White people” because “Whites” do not all hate Black people as a group or even care about race.   There are millions of “Whites” out there who really don’t care that you are Black or “not White.”  The assumption that Black people are dealing with “Whites” when they are confronted with racism IS RACIST.  The Black person wo makes this assumption is assuming that all White people act as one group.  This person assumes that all “Whites” are racist when approaching the subject of racism from that erroneous angle.  This is inherently racist.  For what is racism?

From Wikipedia:

Racism is actions, practices or beliefs, or social or political systems that consider different races to be ranked as inherently superior or inferior to each other, based on presumed shared inheritable traits, abilities, or qualities. It may also hold that members of different races should be treated differently.[1][2][3] While most conceptualizations of racism include the notion of “race based discrimination”, the exact definition is controversial both because there is little scholarly agreement about the meaning of the concept “race”, and because there is also little agreement about what does and does not constitute discrimination.

Some definitions consider that any assumption that a person’s behavior would be influenced by their racial categorization is inherently racist, regardless of whether the action is intentionally harmful or pejorative, because stereotyping necessarily subordinates individual identity to group identity. In sociology and psychology, many definitions only include consciously malignant forms of discrimination.

However one view distinguishes prejudice from racism, holding that racism is best understood as ‘prejudice plus power’ because without the support of political or economic power, prejudice would not be able to manifest as a pervasive cultural, institutional or social phenomenon.[6] [7] Among the questions about how to define racism are the question of whether to include forms of discrimination that are unintentional, such as making assumptions about preferences or abilities of others based on racial stereotypes, whether to include symbolic or institutionalized forms of discrimination such as the circulation of ethnic stereotypes through the media, and whether to include the socio-political dynamics of social stratification that sometimes have a racial component. Some definitions of racism also include discriminatory behaviors and beliefs based on cultural, national, ethnic, caste, or religious stereotypes.[2][8] Some critics of the term argue that the term is applied differentially, with a focus on such prejudices by whites, and in ways that define mere observations of any possible differences between races as racism.

I’ll lay it out for those who need the obvious explained to them.  Racists are individuals.  There are no group rules when dealing with individuals.  Each individual must be approached as such.  White people are simply a group of folks who have been arbitrarily grouped together based upon the superficial characteristic of their skin color.  White people do not have power over Black people.  Individual White persons may have the power to shape public or group action in such a way as to negatively affect Black people.  However, Black people such as Oprah Winfrey, Condoleeza Rice and Barack Obama also exist and have these same powers of influence.

Want to know what automatically turns me off to the subject of racism.  It is the exact moment when an ignorant bigot such as Paul Mooney or Al Sharpton, who are obviously racist themselves, begin to talk about “White people” as if we all have the exact same opinions and as if we all act in concert against all Black people.

Racism in America began as an act of asserting power or authority over a minority group.  Racism and it’s partner bigotry has affected every immigrant group which has traveled to America.  That includes Germans, Jews, Italians, Polish, Chinese, Cambodians, Vietnamese, Cubans and continues with today’s bigotry directed against Latin American groups and all Muslim groups.  Black people are not alone in having been victims of racism and bigotry.

Another complete misnomer is the idea that racism is unique to America.  Racism and Bigotry exist the world over.  Where there are differences in human groups and those groups are vying for power, there is racism and bigotry.  This includes Africa.  Africa is a hotbed of racism and bigotry based on everything from tribal affiliation to religion, ethnicity and nose length.

A major issue with the racial conversation in America is that it is rife with ignorance and myth.  I’ll close with this bit of advice to folks like Paul Mooney:  WHITES are not racist.  WHITES have not always done what they want with Black people.  If you want an honest conversation, do not begin with the premise that ALL WHITES are racist.  It is an accusation.  It is designed to alienate.  It does alienate.

If you want to have an honest and civil discourse about racism in America, it cannot begin with bigoted assumptions.  As soon as you start accusing ALL WHITES of being in control or being racists or bigots or even White, you have become yourself racist and bigoted.

Bigotry and racism will not solve racism and bigotry.  Hate will not lead to understanding.

I grew up with Black people.  I have always lived, worked, played and partied with Black people.  The only time that I think of them as Black people is when some hateful person such as Paul Mooney opens his mouth to remind me that I’m White and they’re Black.  The rest of the time, I think of them as Tyrone, Grover, Will, Frank, Tony, Mark, Rodney, JJ, George, McKinley, Greg, Katrina, She’Keena and Dorian.

I am fortunate to have traveled the world and to have befriended persons from all over this magnificent globe.  I am fortunate to have been able to have bridged the divides that only a person such as Paul Mooney could possibly create for me.  I am fortunate to have lived a life within which the only racial barriers which I have encountered were created from without.  The only way to end racism is to erase race as a possibility.  It is to see each individual based upon their individual merits and to be blind to superficialities such as skin color, nose width/length and hair texture.  If we wish not to be judged based upon the color of our skin, we cannot achieve this by judging all others based upon the color of their skin.  It is character, not color or toe length, that matters.

Cliven Bundy, The State and Conservative Cowards

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=agXns-W60MI

On the “Conservative” over-reaction to Cliven Bundy:

Cowards. The guy wasn’t saying that black people belonged in slavery or would be better off as slaves as opposed to being free people.  He was talking about a specific subset of black people. He was referring to those on the government dole.  He wasn’t PC, so, of course, the PC cowards ran from his statement.  In my opinion, he had a valid point. Crudely made but a valid point. I’ve often wondered the same thing. Not specifically about black people or black people on the government dole but about people in general who are dependent upon the government.  When dependent upon the government, one is not a free person. One is subject to the whims of the State. This is a form of servitude.

It is growing worse. As people become more and more ignorant of the truth, they are falling for the demonization of the government dependent even as the STATE is forcing more and more of the citizenry into dependence.  After all, what is “Obamacare” but a crude and coercive expansion of citizen dependence upon the State. Now, we have States and other entities which wish to fully invade the nearly non-existent privacy of any individual who is dependent upon the government. Urinalysis checks, in home checks, child safety and welfare checks.

How long before a provision is added to the Affordable Care Act requiring urinalysis testing prior to receipt of any “benefits?”  (Remember Liberals, there will come a time when the GOP takes the White House and Congress.  The worm always turns.)  Is this what you call freedom?  It is definitively not what I call freedom.

Bundy’s point on “putting their men in prison” (paraphrased as I can’t recall exact wording) is potent. But no one listens to this truth because he used the word “negro” and his point was made crudely.  Black leaders go on and on about the prison population of America being essentially a BLACK population and the “War on Drugs” being aimed at America’s young, black male population. Bundy was essentially speaking to this truth and because he used the term “Negro” BOOM! he’s a racist.  (On a side note, I had no idea that Negro was an unacceptable term.  I guess it’s like the term “niggardly.”  It sounds vaguely racist to liberals and, therefore, it must be a bad word.  PC Censorship at it’s finest.)

So, what we are saying is that we must couch our truths in lies in order for them to be accepted and understood.  Cliven Bundy stated what many others have stated over the years. However, he’s a white, redneck, country, inarticulate old fella and, therefore, is not allowed to speak truths.  How dare a white man speak about problems in the Black community. Fuck….I mean if an old white dude can see it…well, there are issues.

I had black and white friends growing up. When the Black kids came home with me, Grandpa Les treated them exactly the same as he treated the White kids.  Yet, my Grandfather used the word “nigger” once in front of me.  I think I was 14 at the time.  In explaining to me his reason for his quitting smoking, he said;  “I couldn’t afford cigarettes for me and the niggers at work.”   He would be considered racist by PC folks like Glenn Beck and Rachel Maddow.  I never saw him treat black people differently from white people.  He worked, ate lunch, socialized with Black folks daily for a couple of decades at his garage.  I never heard him make a disparaging remark about Black people in general.  Just that one statement.  Yet, despite his daily interactions with Black folks and despite his friendship towards and total lack of negativity towards my Black friends or me for having Black friends, that one instance of his use of the “N” word would be enough to destroy him in the minds of politically correct idiots in the media and politics.

There is a strain of racism and/or bigotry in all of us.  There is always a degree of a lack of understanding and empathy with/for the other in each of us.  Why can’t they…..? Why won’t they…..?  Cliven Bundy, like all of us, has his prejudices, I am certain of it. I am certain of it because I have never met a human being who did not have prejudices.  To sit here and pretend that you are without them is a great lie…it is self deception.  It’s cowardice, duplicitous and a complete lack of self-knowledge. It is denial. It is hypocrisy.

AND the thing that most of America is missing is that all of this talk of racism (division) brings about is a diversion. A diversion from the real issue.  Cliven Bundy is a “racist bum.”  Therefore, the State can do as it pleases with him. In the exact same manner that it persecutes and oppresses those who are dependent upon the government.  However, let’s not talk about the State and it’s assault on the rights of the Citizenry.  Instead, let us speak about racism.

Meanwhile, pee in that bottle like a good little boy and girl.  Stand in line for security at the airport, let the TSA goon molest you.  Don’t complain when the police “mistakenly” raid your home for drugs.  You’re free.  You’re secure.  We are doing it all for you says the STATE.

“WHITENESS AT LARGE”

WHITENESS AT LARGE

Yes, because I think this is important. A lot of white America and so-called liberal people of color, along with conservatives, ask, “Do I understand context?” And that’s part of wanting to completely humanize the oppressor. To see the white man as always reasonable, always pure, always deliberate, always complex and always innocent. And to see the woman of color as literal. Both my intent behind the hashtag and in my [unintelligible] distance, is always about forcing an apology on me for not understanding their context when, in reality, they misunderstood us when they made us a punch line again. So it’s always this logic of how can we understand whiteness better, and that’s never been my politics. I’ve always been about occupying the margins and strengthening the margins and what that means is that, for a long time, whiteness has also occupied the margins. Like, people of color get in circles with no white people in the room and we see that whiteness still operates. So I think it’s kind of a shock for America that whiteness has dominant society already, it also seeps into the margins. What happens the one time when the margins seep into the whiteness and we encroach on their space? It’s like the sky is falling.

Soooooo…….WHITE PEOPLE are always supposed to be accommodating and never offensive to the poor, oppressed minority in America.  I do not know WHITE PEOPLE who think as she suggests.  I do know quite a few WHITE PEOPLE who are tired of being told that it’s not ok to actually be WHITE.  Somehow, WHITE PEOPLE are supposed to be NOT WHITE around any and all “people of color.”
Maybe we need an all White Nation where WHITE PEOPLE can just be fuckin’ WHITE.

Asian folks all have a country wherein they are not expected to be anything but that.

Thais have Thailand.

The Chinese have China.

Burmese have…well, Myanmar.

Laos have Laos.

Vietnamese have Vietnam.

Indonesians have Indonesia.

Indians have India.

And so on and so forth. Africans have a whole fuckin’ continent.

However, the lands of the White people have been taken over by everyone else. And everyone else wants the WHITE PEOPLE to be sensitive to their plight.

If you are Thai and you want Thai culture, take a little vacation to Thailand. Get all warm and fuzzy and come back to Whiteville.

Get the fuck over it.

Get the fuck over yourself.

WTF!

I’m beginning to understand why there exist White People who want to have an all White America.

I love other cultures. I live and work in two completely different cultures and I find them wonderful and fascinating (much of the time).

Asian people, Black people, everyone and anyone else…if you don’t like White People, don’t move to America or Europe. If you don’t like living with White People, don’t move to America or Europe.

If you are already living in one of these places and don’t like it, there are many places where Black or African or Chinese or Thai or Cambodians or whomever are THE MAJORITY.

If you live in America, you are free to emigrate to one of those places. Please do so.

White People can only accommodate so far. After that, there is going to be a backlash.

I love and am friends with folks of nearly every people, race, religion, ethnicity represented on this planet…and even I am getting sick of this stupid fucking shit.

The Christian Nation (American Sanctity)

People I know, they worried ’bout the country.

They say the homos and spics and niggers are tryna take over.  They gonna ruin America.

Those other folks.  They say that God gonna be killed by the fags and atheists.

They say those homos gonna ruin marriage.  Say life ain’t nevah goin’ be the same if two men marry each other.  Say it worse if two women get the sanctity of marriage.

They say marriage is sacred.  It’s a Christian right.  People that’s different.  They don’t get no marriage.  Say different people getting married gonna destroy marriage.

I keep thinkin’ about adultery, though.  Why homos get the blame for fuckin’ up what the heteros already fucked up.  A man and woman can get married.  One of them cheat on the other.  No one care.  They get divorce.  No one care.  Adultery destroyin’ marriage all over.  But it’s the homos who get the blame.

Huh?

And ain’t the sanctity o’ marriage already been ruined when we started lettin’ those darkies marry our pretty, pasty white gurlz back dere in the 70s.  I told y’all.  The world would go to shit when we let them black bucks marry our pristine white virgins.  Now we got the fags wantin’ to marry our strong white boys.  Life done got fucked up.  It’s all the darkies fault.

And to make matters worse…we got them MexiCANS!

The spics is comin’ up ta give us cheap labor.  Give us cheap prices.  Just like havin’ our own Chinks right here in America.  Sweat shops aren’t only for South America and Asia.  We like dem cheap prices, too.  Really like those cheap apples and bananas, iPods and iPads and such.

Don’t want to think about it, though.  Let ’em live in squalor.  Let ’em die of pneumonia.  They can stay illiterate.  We don’t want them around us.  Keep ’em in the fields.

But wait…

Why won’t they assimilate?  Why I gotta push “1” for English and Dos for Espanol?  This is America.  We speaks English.  Shit!  We don’t need them motherfuckin’ illegal bastards in our country.

They use our tax dollars.  They get free health care.  They go to our schools.  Fuck that.

Besides, we’re a Christian Nation.  We ain’t Catholic.

And them uppity ass Niggaz!  Who they think they are?  Got demselfs a Prez=OH-dent.  Now dey thinks dey special.  Like they gonna run somethin’.  And they still complainin’ that they don’t get treated right.

Shit.  They gotta know they place.

Back o’ da line, Nigger!  Back o’ da bus.

I’m the man.  Always gonna be da man.

Get yo ass to da back o’ da bus where you belong.  And take the fags and spics with ya.

Fuck!  What a crazy ass cracka gotta do ta get sum respect these days.

And what they got against Christmas anyhow???  Communist Bastards!!!

Then again.  I think about it.  I remember the Bible.  I remember Sunday School.  I remember these lines:

Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.
I remember that Jesus spoke them to the Disciples.  I remember him saying that this was the path to heaven.  People say that we are a Christian Nation.
We’re a Christian Nation?  Truly?

Racism and Bigotry

http://techbuddha.files.wordpress.com/2009/01/obama-hope.jpg

I’m tired of people whining when they think that I am calling them a racist or bigot.  If you are the type of person who cuts the word “Hope” from this picture and replace it with the world “Nigger.”  If you are the type of person who creates or forwards emails that purposely denigrate whole groups of folks based on false information or misinformation.

If you participate in these types of activities, I’m not calling you a racist or a bigot.  Your actions and words are an admission of your guilt and your true feelings.  Don’t whine to me when I dispute the lies and ignorance of these actions and words.

Here’s a bit of a wake up call for all of you.  Not all Muslims are terrorists or want to push Sharia on the world.  Not all Black people are unemployed and on welfare.  There are Muslims serving in the military and who have served in the military honorably. I work with a Muslim right now who is a true American and one of the better human beings whom I have had the pleasure to know in my life.   These folks love America and what she represents in the World.  If you disagree with Obama over policy, that’s fine.  I do as well.  If you hate Obama because he’s black or you think he’s a Muslim, you’re an ignorant racist/bigot.  Period.

If you are a racist or a bigot, please move to Waziristan.  Many folks in that region are as ignorant, bigoted and racist as are you.  I don’t want your ignorance in my America.

Michelle Obama was Angry — “Whitey is still holding us down…” or was “he” (Re-visited)

I posted the original article and commentary about Michelle and Whitey almost a year ago.  It’s garnered quite a bit of interest.

Barack Obama is the man of the hour in US and World Politics.  He is the President-elect.  How does Michelle feel about her comments now about bars being set and raised now.  She was wrong then and she is wrong now.  The bar was set high on purpose.  No one should be handed the office of President of the United States of America.  Not Barack Obama.  Not anyone else.  (Not even George W. Bush for all of you who will zone in on Dubya.)  Barack Obama has won the election.  The American people have won this election.

My feeling on this issue is that many American Blacks do not see and experience America as it is today.  Too many experience their lives through the past.  They see America through the prism of America 20 and 30 years ago.  Many Black Americans are living with the racist history and past of America as if it is a friend or a childhood blanket that they can’t quite let go.  Before anyone starts, I realize that racism, discrimination and prejudice exist today.  Yet, it is nowhere near as common as it was 30, 20 even 10 years ago.

Also, those problems exist on all sides of the racial/color divide.  I’ve witnessed Black racism towards Whites, Asians and Hispanics.  I’ve witnessed White racism towards the same.  I’ve witnessed Asian racism towards Blacks, Whites and Hispanics.  I’ve seen these people all practice racism in one form or another against Arabs and others as well.

So what?  It exists. You live your life and work around it.  It will always exists.

There are extreme liberal prejudices against Christians.  There are extreme conservative prejudices against Homosexuals.  Many folks are prejudiced against Muslims due to the dangers posed by Islamic Extremism.

It’s there.  It will always be there.  Tough.

Growing up.  I was discriminated against because I was poor.  When I was 19 and in Germany in the Army, I was jumped by 8 Black guys for the sole reason of the color of my skin. I’ve not spent my life being resentful for this treatment.  I don’t spend my days and nights talking about “the Man” and his desire to “get me” and “hold me down.”  I go out and live and try to improve my lot in life.  In spite of the Challenges and sometimes because of the Challenges that have come my way.

Obama will become the 44th President of the United State of America on January 20th, 2009.  This would not have been possible without the vote of White Americans.  This seems to be a fact that many Black Americans overlook.  The election of Barack Obama is a victory for all Americans.  Not Black Americans or racially mixed Americans.  All Americans.  It plainly illustrates that much of White America has moved past the old racist notions that held us back as a Nation.

My question is this:

HAVE BLACK AMERICANS MOVED PAST RACISM?

Are they willing to do so? Will they?  Or will we still have to hear about “Whitey” or “those damn Crackers” or the “evil White man.” Will White America get credit in the Black Community for looking past color in this election?

This is one of the roles that Michelle Obama must take on as First Lady.  The role of healer of a nation.  Will she aid in healing the racial divide or will she exacerbate the divide?  This nation needs a healer.  I hope she steps up.  We have a chance in this nation to move past pettiness and prejudice.  We have been afforded a unique opportunity.  Let us hope that a leader will step forth and carry us forward to that day about which Doctor King and so many others have  dreamed for so long.  May we free ourselves of these chains which have held us down as a people for so long.  May people put down their hates and prejudices and look instead to the individual heart and character of a person.  This is a possibility.

I so tire of racism.  The conversation itself is wearying.

Let’s move past this America.  Let us finally free our national soul of this disease of the mind and spirit.

Michelle Obama.  Lead us on to the future.

Obama is the next President of the United States of America

Barack Hussein Obama will be the next POTUS.  The latest polls show he is ahead with an estimated 350 electoral votes to around 180 for McCain.

What does this mean?

#1  The world will have to stop their decades long double standard of judging America a racist Nation.   Perhaps they will take a look at themselves for once.  Racism is alive and well in the world.  Whether it be the various genocides of Africa or the Euros and their Antisemitism or Asia and their one million ethnic hates or the Middle East and their hatred of all peoples not Muslim and their special hate reserved for the tiny nation of Israel.

(*Note:  I do not believe that all of the peoples of any of these regions harbor these hatreds. )

Of course, not all of the peoples of these regions are guilty but many of them love to point to the US and use us as justification for their hates and violence against minority peoples.  Black people in America will have to start dealing with a new reality.  A Black man in the White House ends many arguments that some folks like to use against White people.  Without the white vote, a Black President is an impossibility.  Discrimination will always exist.  But it can no longer be an excuse.

Unquestionably, Iran and their “dear leader” Ahmadinejad will push for Nuclear Weapon capability.  He knows that Barack Obama will seek to solve the issue diplomatically.  Obama will not dare seek a military resolution to the problem.  It will probably take a nuclear strike by Iran to get Obama to take a military stance on Iran.  Not that I think that this will happen.  Iran wants Nuclear weapon capability to offset the perceived threats of the US and Israel.  I don’t think anyone but a mad man will strike first with Nuclear missiles.  It would mean a sure death to the people of that Nation.  I don’t see Iran secreting nukes to Hezbollah either.  Everyone who pays attention to the Middle East knows that Hezbollah is the puppet of Iran.  It would be too obvious.

I think that we should unilaterally end all sanctions against Iran.  Our efforts for reform in Iran should be positive.  Aimed toward the people of Iran.  Same with Cuba.

I’m hoping that Obama keeps his promise and seeks to wean the US off of oil and other energy sources in the Middle East and other unstable areas and regimes.  I truly look forward to the day that we pull our support from the corrupt Wahhabi regimes of Saudi Arabia.  The Wahhabi are the genetic source of all terror groups of Sunni Islam.  The Wahhabi are also in the DNA of the Shi’a strain of terrorism.  Saudi Arabia is the funding source for Wahhabism world wide.  The House of Saud is the enemy and they are secure in the Lincoln Bedroom of the White House.

Hopefully, Obama shows them the door.  Let them cozy up to China and India and let those countries defend that corrupt and evil regime.

Some good could come of the Obama Presidency.

I think a Democratic victory in the White House will go a ways further towards instilling confidence in the market as well.  Will it be enough to push our economy on to the road to recovery.  Only time will tell.  Let’s hope it does.

I don’t think that Obama will be truly foolish enough to pull the troops out of Iraq too swiftly.  I just can’t believe that he would be that foolish.

If Obama wins his second term, I think that al Qaeda will attack.  Obama will return to the empty threat/speech foreign policy of Clinton.  The Wahhabi will attack the periphery at first to test the resolve of Obama and his State Department.  If Obama shows no nerve.  If he shows no willingness to strike back in a concrete manner, al Qaeda will eventually strike into the heart of America.  Perhaps a dirty bomb in a large city.  They’ll test him first in a place like Afghanistan or Kuwait.  Next, they’ll try ply their trade against a soft target in a place like Djibouti.  If Obama shows no resolve.  If he gives a speech with empty threats and follows up with nothing or aimless strikes.  The leaders of al Qaeda will begin to plan their next 9-11.

People of Liberal persuasion will deny this to their death.  But it will happen.

Either the last year of the Obama first term or the first year of the 2nd Term will see a strike.  If Obama is truly a Carter/Clinton idealistic type.

I hope that he truly is to be good for America.  I am hoping that he is as good as his followers believe. He won’t get my vote, but once he is in office he has my support.  I will wish him success.

Worst case scenario:  Obama turns out to be a Carter re-tread and 2012 sees a Republican take back the White House with a clear mandate.

For now, Obama has a mandate for change.  Here’s hoping he does something good with it.
