“I want to be part of the right slanted movement in ruling our democratic republic. I believe the ‘movement’ is by the ‘salt of the earth’ persons who believe in God and the freedoms of citizens of any country.”
Elected Representatives serve.
Christianity is a personal choice. It is not a State mandate. Religion is of conscience. It cannot be forced upon a people or a person. One must accept Christianity for it to be a reality. If Christians force their religion upon humankind via State Force, they are no better than the Soviet Communist or Wahhabi Islamist.
I’m not certain why American Christians cannot comprehend this.
I was fairly certain that Hillary had lost when she was nominated. Back around September of last year, I knew that Trump would be elected.
Conservative Christians did not win this election. Liberalism was repudiated by a slight majority with the election of Trump. More people, in my opinion, voted against Hillary than for Trump.
I have seen wisdom come from both the Left and the Right. I have witnessed it elsewhere as well. There is wisdom in the philosophies of Buddhism, Hinduism, Zoroastrianism, Wicca, Conservatism, Communitarianism and Communism as well as Liberalism and Christianity. I have witnessed it. There is wisdom in humanity.
The Liberals should back off. I said the same thing of Conservatives in the Obama era. I warned Liberals to be wary of their vindictiveness and to be especially careful with the precedents set by their Dear Leader Obama. None heeded the call. Now they will reap what they have sown.
Such is the way of the world. The masses rarely ever learn. Four to Twelve years from now, the pendulum will swing back to the Liberals. Will Conservatives have learned the necessary lessons or will they be as arrogant as they and their Liberal counterparts have always been.
I think the arrogance will remain. The Right and Left have become blind and deaf to all others. This is why they constantly lose Middle America and find themselves out of office and in the minority so often. The Democrats and Republicans never learn. They are 20% or so on either side of the political fringe. The Great Middle swings back and forth as they have no other choice. They tire of one and flock to the other. They tire of that one and flock to the other side. This has been American Politics since the founding of the two party system.
Elected Representatives do not rule the American Republic. Elected Representatives serve. When they fail to serve, they are voted out.
Those who seek to rule are no better than the despots of Saudi Arabia.
