If we were honest about our intentions and didn’t try to cover it with “good intentions”, Judeo-Christian faux morality and lollipops, I’d be all for global domination.
If we were honest about our intentions and didn’t try to cover it with “good intentions”, Judeo-Christian faux morality and lollipops, I’d be all for global domination.
Various Leftist & Liberals are all abuzz about White People shouting “White Power” at the latest Trump Rally.
Who will lead America through this storm? Can a President Trump do so? I have no faith in any of the establishment Politicians.
I’m of the opinion that Trump can do no worse than a Bush or a Clinton. I’d prefer Trump with a Vice President Paul, though.
1. Saudi Arabia
8. Muslim Brotherhood
9. Puppets of #s 4 and 7
12. Remaining ME/CA Islamic Nations.
13. Everyone else.
Saudi Arabia exports more terrorism in the form of its decrepit Wahhabi creed than all of the others combined.
Iran is a chia pet by comparison.
The Great Triumvirate of the United States of America, China and Russia have terrorized the world with impunity since the close of the Second World War.
France, the UK and Germany are all too willing accomplices to any and every US adventure that comes down the pike.
Iran selectively defends the Shi’a community via the IRG and the Party of God (Hezbollah). They imported Hezbollah to Lebanon. They support factions inside of Saudi Arabia, the Houthis in Yemen as well as other places. Iran will also selectively support Sunni terrorists otherwise known as Wahhabist Saudi Arabian created scum as suits their needs.
Israel terrorizes the Palestinians and occasionally Southern Lebanon. Israel has attacked nations such as Iraq and Iran preemptively.
The Palestinians terrorize Israel and their own people. The Palestinians attempted to depose the King of Jordan. They’ve also raised a bit of hell in Lebanon and Egypt. There is also the actions of the PLO under Arafat and assorted other madmen.
The other nations of the Middle East and Central Asia mostly terrorize their own people. Only occasionally sending out State sponsored Wahhabists and assorted other misfits to further their political ends.
Pakistan created the Taliban out of the anti-Soviet Insurgency, orphans from that war and the Wahhabist Madrassahs that were established by the Saudis. They were established, equipped and used as a hedge against Indian influence in Afghanistan and as well as a buffer against Iranian influence.
Yes, the world is fucked up.
What is up with the Democratic Party?
Every evil that is conceivable has been perpetrated by the Democrats.
The Trail of Tears
The Vietnam War
The Cold War
The United Nations
The Original Chickenhawks
I could go on and on.
Yet, now, they attempt to act innocent and they call the Republicans racist.
As if history did not exist.
Now, we have Obamacare & White Privilege.
We have Democrats attempting to tell us that the GOP is bought and paid for (IT IS) while pretending that they, the Left, are not owned by the same Goldman Sachs cabal.
Obama was against the war in Iraq until he made it his own by screwing up across the Middle East. Now, the Nobel laureate is in love with the War in Iraq. After all, Iraq War 3.0 is his own war. Of course, he loves it.
Obama invented Terror Tuesday where he votes THUMBS UP or THUMBS DOWN like a Roman Emperor in the Coliseum on whether to assassinate American Citizens or to drone the hell out of mostly random brown folks in Central Asia and the Middle East.
Meddling in the Middle East was a terrible crime under Bush. Bush was a war criminal. Obama has meddled ever more and in a much more corrupt, cronyistic and incompetent manner, yet, you are a racist if you question his war mongering across the Brown portion of the Planet.
Perhaps, some fuckin’ Democrat can explain this shit to me.
The DNC has murdered and rampaged its way across history and somehow blames it all on the GOP…and you are a racist.
America has been supporting despotic monarchies since, at least, World War II. That thanks to our late, “Great” President Franklin Delano Roosevelt. It is disgusting to me and should be to any American that we are so deeply embedded with the tyrants of this world. All in the name of Corporate Greed. But don’t let that stop anyone from decrying Moore as a hypocrite or a fat ass. I think it disgusting how obese MM has become. He looks like a muppet, he’s so fat.
Moore is still an American. Even if there are aspects of America with which he disagrees. The Conservative Right hates more because he exercises his right to Freedom of Speech. This is hypocritical of the Right. Moore should speak his mind and tell his truth. If that leaves the Right butthurt, so be it. I, for one, can see where Moore has been correct. A good, healthy, open minded reading of history proves Moore to be correct in many of his more salient points in his documentaries. Moore recently stated that snipers were cowards and shot people in the back. Many folks who have been to War agree with this sentiment. A sniper hides and takes shots at folks who have no idea from where they are being sniped. This is the nature of the job. It’s the same in any war, their snipers are murderous cowards. Our snipers are valiant heroes. That’s the nature of propaganda.
It’s the same with insurgents. The Founding Fathers and the Revolutionary heroes such as the Francis Marion, the Swamp Fox, are hailed as heroes. There is not a whole lot of difference in the tactics of Marion and those of ISIS or al Qaeda. Both used terror tactics to achieve a goal of independence. We see it differently only because those tactics when used by ISIS and al Qaeda are an attack on our values and our world view. However, there is no difference. In the American Civil War, Federal Soldiers led by General Sherman raped, pillaged and burned their way through the South. ISIS is doing the same thing in Iraq and Syria. We hail Sherman as a hero for the same actions for which we deem ISIS as villainous and evil.
It’s propaganda. Michael Moore has done nothing more than bring transparency to our hypocrisy and we hate him for it. He’s put a mirror to our face and forced us to peer into our own souls. Sometimes, that viewing leaves us disquieted. This is the nature of what I call Statism. The State wishes us to believe that we are good when we perpetrate evil. We excuse our own excesses. We rationalize our murders and genocidal behaviors. They are evil because they wish that which we do not. It matters not what it is. It only matters that the State tells us that they are wrong and we are right. They are evil. We are righteous. Despite the fact that our actions mirror one another.
Moore is guilty of nothing more than bringing a different perspective to the discussion. We hate him because his perception makes us uncomfortable. That and he is as guilty as the rest of us. He defends or stays silent in the face of the criminality of Obama and the Left. Yet, screams to the heavens when Bush was taking the exact same actions as Obama does now. I am waiting for the Michael Moore treatment of the illegal assassination of Anwar Al Awlaki and his son. Until Moore is as outspoken of the crimes of Obama as he was of the crimes of Bush, I see Moore as nothing more than a Statist propagandist for the Left. I have no respect for the man based on this hypocrisy. That and he is way to intelligent and wealthy to be such an obese monstrosity. He must know that his obesity will kill him.
I’ve read that the true measure of heroism is lives saved. By that definition, Kyle was a hero. Many of the lives that he took with his sniper rifle saved the lives of American soldiers who were the targets of the persons whom Kyle killed. These were insurgents bent on shooting, rocketing or planting IEDs with the intent to kill Americans and Iraqis.
Don’t blame Chris Kyle for going to war. Don’t excoriate him for liking or not disliking war. Don’t mock him because he didn’t take a nuanced view of Iraq or Iraqis. Most of the folks who are criticizing this man’s life and military experience have no idea what it is like to be in combat. Most of them are missing the point entirely. Chris Kyle was a pawn in a larger game. Bush and Obama sent him to Iraq to kill and wage war on those whom the US government filled with your elected representatives claim were/are enemies of the United States. This war was never and is still not about Democracy or an existential threat to America. The wars of the past decade and a half have about control of resources. Both Obama and Bush played this game well. They simultaneously played the American people.
Kyle is an easy target. Especially so, since he is dead. The true target of your ire should be the Corporate CEOs, Bankers and Politicians. However, Kyle being the easier target, American Liberals (Democrats) will instead cowardly attack the dead.
I can find no difference in the actions of Barack Obama and George W. Bush. Yet, Democrats support Obama and condemn Bush. They are both guilty of war crimes. Both guilty of circumventing the US Constitution.
Obama is using Bush/Cheney tactics and politics to subvert the National Will and to circumvent the Constitution. He has lied. He has fear mongered. He has used WMD. He has reused the Bush Act of 2002. Yet, Democrats support him.
How does any of this make sense?
These same democrats condemn Israel for targeting civilians. Yet, Obama is targeting civilians and has done so since he became President. How does Obama differ from Netanyahu?
I do not think that Hillary is Hitler. One politician is about the same as the other. Some, like Hitler, are simply more successful in moving society to accomplish their aims. The aims are all the same. Control of the populace in a given geo-political area for the advancement of personal power. There is nothing more to it.
There are no Great Leaders out there.
Look at the great leaders in history.
Lincoln — He kinda freed the slaves. But not really. In order to keep the South in the Union, he prosecuted a war which claimed the lives of millions. How is he different than Hitler or Stalin or FDR or Churchill or any of the Monarchs of the 17th Century.
FDR took America to war for Democracy and to save the Free World. In the end, more people were enslaved by communism than were threatened by the madness of Hitler.
Ike, JFK, LBJ took us to war in Vietnam to stop the communist dominoes from falling. In the end, those communist dominoes fell anyway. Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia all fell to communism. Indonesia became a dictatorship. Nixon’s “peace with honor” all but ensured the fall of Cambodia to the Khmer Rouge. Congress’ failure to support South Vietnam or Laos after our withdrawal ensured their fall to communism. What did we accomplish except to participate in slaughter and sacrifice our citizen soldiers to madness and arrogance.
We supported the Indonesia dictator.
How were the people of Indonesia, Vietnam, Cambodia or Laos better off after our War of Liberation?
In Iraq, Bush “liberated” the Iraqi people from Saddam Hussein only to have Obama hand those same people over to a Shi’ite despots and the Islamic madmen of the Islamic State. All the while, we supported the Monarchy which fuels Sunni Extremism via Dollar Diplomacy. The Wahhabis owe everything to Saudi Arabia. The Wahhabis are ISIS, al Qaeda, al Jihad, the Muslim Brotherhood and every other Sunni Islamic Extremists group extant.
In what war has America actually helped anyone?
We defeated Germany and Japan? They went on to become economic superpowers. This would have occurred anyway. In fact, the war with Japan was over the US and Britain keeping resources away from Japan that would have allowed them to become an economic superpower. We basically warred with Japan for five years in order to destroy them so that they could recover and become exactly what we had attempted to stop them from becoming. Millions died because FDR and his economic obstructionism. Yet, FDR is a hero and Hitler is a villain.
It was the same with Germany. Britain did not want Germany to become master of the Continent. So, we warred with them twice in conflagrations which engulfed the world in flames…so that Germany could become the economic master of the Continent.
What did we accomplish with our wars?
Asia slowly recovers with Laos and Cambodia lagging and their people suffering in poverty. Vietnam is becoming a mini-economic superpower and are loosening their economic controls so that capitalists can profit. This benefits the State and the Capitalists. There is relatively little benefit to the people.
Germany is the power of the Continent.
Britain has lost it’s empire. (I suppose that’s a plus).
America is still an economic power though we are doing our best to implode.
Russia is what it has always been. The poor man of Europe and the villain of the east.
China is a burgeoning beast with the potential to ruin or save the world as it has always been.
And history begins to repeat itself.
Is war on the horizon?
It seems that Political Leaders of the World are repeating the sins of the last century even as they preach of peace. I see no peace. I see no good coming of this next few decades. If the “Great Leaders” of this coming Century are as incompetent and arrogant as those of the last, the World is doomed to simply repeat the sins of the past. There were be Great Leaders only because they take us into Great Wars.
Where are the visionaries? Where is our Jesus? Our Moses? Our Gandhi? Where are the leaders who not only preach peace but practice it?
Can the earth survive human war or human peace? If we war on one another with our current technology, we may make this world uninhabitable. If we do not war and continue “peaceably,” human being will reproduce in unsustainable numbers.
There seems to be no way out. By War or Peace, humanity’s ignorance and lack of foresight endangers itself…ensures it’s fall. Perhaps that is not a bad thing.
People complaining about American conquest and treatment of the “Native American,” PLEASE! Just stop. This is the history of mankind. Only since World War II have we stopped the conquest and taking of land for ourselves.
I believe Israel (67), China (50s/Tibet) and Pakistan (Balochistan/49 to present day) are the last nations to take lands via conquest. Iraq tried it in the 80s but were immediately expelled by Iran. Lebanon is currently being occupied by Hezbollah which is tantamount to Iranian occupation.
Both China and Pakistan are currently and have been in contention with India over territories. China is starting to stake claims in territories that are currently in possession of nations such as Japan and the Philippines.
Pakistan and Afghanistan are in contention over the Durand Line.
Mexico and America are having extreme border issues.
Scotland wants to opt out of the UK.
The Kurds want their own nation with inclusion of territory currently possessed/claimed by Turkey, Iran and Iraq.
Iran will start making claims soon on lands occupied by the Russians.
ISIS is currently taking lands via conquest that were Syrian and Iraqi. If they grow powerful enough, they will turn towards Mekkah and possibly Iran. They’ll leave Israel for later.
Of course, there is Israel. They occupy the West Bank and Gaza as well as maintain control over an “autonomous” Arab/Islamic thugocracy in Gaza. They’ve occupy lands that are claimed by Syria as well.
I see occurring more and more in the near future conflicts over territory as the World grows more politically chaotic.
Without looking it up, I believe that the last time that America took lands by conquest was at the conclusion of the Spanish American War when we were “given” the Philippines, Guam, Wake Island, etc.
Basically, the Colonists or White Man, as labelled by Western Liberals, did nothing that the Indians (Native or aboriginal) Americans had not done themselves. There were Empires and Kingdoms in the Americas prior to the advent of European “exploration,” conquest and colonization of the Americas.
The Aztecs, Incans, Mayans, Anasazi, Pueblo and every other tribe, confederation and/or “State” in the Americas did not spring up out of the earth in the exact spot where they became the dominant political entity. They took those lands from others.
In my opinion, gnashing one’s teeth over the “sins” of others which you yourself have committed is a bit hypocritical.
That said, I look to see more conquest in the future as liberalism and the touchy feely politics of America and Western Europe recedes with the fall from influence brought on by our liberalism and “guilt” in general, and the waning of our economic superpower status due to the rise of China, India and the conflicts with Russia and Iran as well as the negative impacts of our constant and consistent incompetent meddling throughout the world. America is overreaching and it is going to hurt us in the near future. With idiot leaders such as Bush and Obama, I see nothing changing and our path is clear and downward in a dizzying spiral.
The primary power of the globe for these past 70 years has been the “petrodollar.” Russian, Iran, Scotland (if she separates successfully) as well as Venezuela are willing and even eager to sell their natural resources in other currencies as well as through a barter system. This is the center of the conflicts evolving between the US and these nations.
If Scotland successfully secedes from the UK AND decides to go off the reservation (petrodollar), look for the US to start pressuring them and calling them rogue, etc.
Once America loses the petrodollar hegemony, all bets are off. We will see a much more chaotic world.
Personally, I am very much looking forward to it.
Imagine a war between a nuclear Saudi Arabia led Gulf confederation against a nuclear levant centered Iran.
Pakistan and India going at it with Nukes.
Russia is already threatening the use of nukes over Ukraine.
We can whine about the past all we want. That past will be nothing compared to the next 100 years. As resources grow scarce, this world is going to go insane. In the end, I believe that Western Liberalism will achieve it’s end. However, the unintended consequences will be their own annihilation as “barbarian” tribes rise up and murder them in their self-righteous and contented sleep. The world will be in flames in the next 100 years. This is not new to history. All great Empires fall. China and Rome fell in such a manner. When a people lose their ability to fight, their will to fight, their survival instincts, the end is not far off. Liberals have no will to fight and nothing in which they believe. The highest ideal of the Western Liberal is the loathing of his/her own culture. Doom shall surely follow.
This is President Obama’s reaction to the death of James Foley. In the statement, he shows a naive, wishful view of World History.
Radicals are the “folks” who move history. Radicals end nations and start nations.
Even our Founding Fathers were radicals. Look back to the American Revolution. The Revolutionaries carried out some nasty deeds. Massacres…town burnings…hangings. I’m fairly certain they beheaded a few people as well.
Obama seems to think that history is made by peaceful “folks” who suddenly agree that things should change. I think he’s seen one too many “Faux Revolutions” in Eastern Europe. He seems to think that those “upheavals” were the norm. What happened when the Cold War ended and the walls came tumbling down. The history of the era is not so bloodless as they seem. The old regimes’ rulers died. It’s just that they didn’t show it on TV. The 90s upheavals were heavily sanitized here in the West. We weren’t shown the deaths that are inevitable with any regime change. These things are inherently violent.
And then we had the Balkans. Plenty of folks were killed. Massacres were everywhere in the Balkans. So much so that Clinton decided that he had to intervene. Serbians hate America to this day.
Below is the Obama delusion:
President Obama delivered the following remarks in Martha’s Vineyard on the beheading of American journalist James Foley by the militant group Islamic State. Transcript courtesy of Federal News Service.
PRESIDENT OBAMA: Good afternoon, everybody.
Today, the entire world is appalled by the brutal murder of Jim Foley by the terrorist group ISIL. Jim was a journalist, a son, a brother and a friend. He reported from difficult and dangerous places, bearing witness to the lives of people a world away.
He was taken hostage nearly two years ago in Syria, and he was courageously reporting at the time on the conflict there. Jim was taken from us in an act of violence that shocked the conscience of the entire world. He was 40 years old, one of five siblings, the son of a mom and dad who worked tirelessly for his release. Earlier today, I spoke to the Foleys and told them that we are all heartbroken at their loss and join them in honoring Jim and all that he did.
Now, Jim Foley’s life stands in stark contrast to his killers. Let’s be clear about ISIL. They have rampaged across cities and villages killing innocent, unarmed civilians in cowardly acts of violence. They abduct women and children and subject them to torture and rape and slavery. They have murdered Muslims, both Sunni and Shia, by the thousands. They target Christians and religious minorities, driving them from their homes, murdering them when they can, for no other reason than they practice a different religion.
They declared their ambition to commit genocide against an ancient people. So ISIL speaks for no religion. Their victims are overwhelmingly Muslim, and no faith teaches people to massacre innocents. No just god would stand for what they did yesterday and what they do every single day. ISIL has no ideology of any value to human beings. Their ideology is bankrupt. They may claim out of expediency that they are at war with the United States or the West, but the fact is they terrorize their neighbors and offer them nothing but an endless slavery to their empty vision and the collapse of any definition of civilized behavior.
People like this ultimately fail. They fail because the future is won by those who build and not destroy. The world is shaped by people like Jim Foley and the overwhelming majority of humanity who are appalled by those who killed him. The United States of America will continue to do what we must do to protect our people. We will be vigilant and we will be relentless. When people harm Americans anywhere, we do what’s necessary to see that justice is done and we act against ISIL, standing alongside others. The people of Iraq, who with our support are taking the fight to ISIL must continue coming together to expel these terrorists from their community. The people of Syria, whose story Jim Foley told, do not deserve to live under the shadow of a tyrant or terrorists. They have our support in their pursuit of a future rooted in dignity.
From governments and peoples across the Middle East, there has to be a common effort to extract this cancer so that it does not spread. There has to be a clear rejection of this kind of nihilistic ideologies. One thing we can all agree on is that a group like ISIL has no place in the 21st century. Friends and allies around the world, we share a common security and a common set of values that are rooted in the opposite of what we saw yesterday. And we will continue to confront this hateful terrorism and replace it with a sense of hope and civility.
And that’s what Jim Foley stood for, a man who lived his word, who courageously told the stories of his fellow human beings, who was liked and loved by friends and family. Today, the American people will all say a prayer for those who loved Jim. All of us feel the ache of his absence. All of us morn his loss. We keep in our prayers those other Americans who are separated from their families. And we will do everything that we can to protect our people and the timeless values that we stand for. May God bless and keep Jim’s memory. And may God bless the United States of America.
Most of the remarks were empty words. Harmless. Meant to make the Foley family feel as though the US did all it could to retrieve their son and bring him to safety. This is and obvious lie but one that all Presidents tell the American people. One can’t blame Obama for following in the footsteps of Reagan, Carter, FDR and LBJ. Lies are common when Presidents speak to the America people.
“All we have to fear is fear itself…;” said FDR. He left out the Bankers and others who love to push America to war for profit. After all, he was in cahoots with the Bankers. Why would he speak truth to the power of the Bankers in American Foreign Policy. If the American people were ever roused to the truth of American Banks…well, nothing. Americans are too busy watching American Idol.
Obama says that no religion “teaches massacre of innocents.” This lie ignores the commandments of God in the Old Testament and the Suras in the Qu’ran which continually command Muslims to murder the non-believer. Until we come to terms with the truth that religions (faiths) do command murder, genocide and the killing of those who believe differently, we’re not going to successfully change the attitudes of the believers of this Earth. We ignore the truths regarding these faiths at our own peril. Obama should know better as he is a secularist and only pretends to be a church goer for political reasons. It’s time, or rather it is past time, to speak the truth to these religions and of these religions.
Christianity and Islam have blood stained histories. That much they have in common. Both are knee deep in the blood of innocents. Let us speak the truth.
Obama also says that “people like this ultimately fail. They fail because the future is won by those who build and not destroy.”
This is half truth at best. Stalin did not fail. Mao did not fail. Pol Pot did not fail. Ho Chi Minh did not fail. Tamerlane did not fail. Genghis Khan did not fail. Alexander the Great did not fail. The radical and the violent succeed. The radical and the violent do not fail. To say that the future is won by those who build and not those who destroy ignores 6,000 years of human history. Even America has destroyed. The American North invaded the American South and destroyed it. The American South still feels the wrath of the Northern Invasion.
Obama’s hero Che Guevara is one of those who was a destroyer. He believed and acted on the belief that Capitalist societies must be destroyed in order to re-build a more egalitarian society. He acted similarly to ISIS and al Qaeda. Che used the tactic of terrorism to destroy the governments in Central and South America.
Perhaps, this has Obama confused.
They are a wake up call to the Muslim World.
ISIS is the ultimate expression of Islamic values at their most extreme. ISIS is the Spanish Inquisition of Islam. ISIS is a heinous, violent, vile organization that expresses it’s Islamist values at their ultimate Wahhabist/Muslim Brotherhood level of hate, exclusivity and intolerance for all others.
The Sunni Muslim world now has a choice. Embrace ISIS and show the world that Islam truly is a wretched religion of hatred and death OR reject ISIS and show the world that there is hope that Islam can normalize AWAY from the House of Saud’s death cult and it’s various branches in Hamas, al Qaeda, the Muslim Brotherhood, etc.
The Muslim world has a clear choice. Embrace ISIS’ Islam and reject the World community or reject ISIS and join the World community.
Islam or Muslims do not need to embrace Western commercialism as a culture. They do need to step out of the 14th Century and allow for the existence of other peoples and cultures.
This is why we need to allow the Muslim world to deal with ISIS. Stop interfering. If ISIS wins, we can deal with them at that point. Until such time as ISIS wins, the Muslims need to make choices and decide to embrace and support or reject and fight ISIS.
We have coddled these people for too long. We have protected despots, petty monarchs and dictators for far too long.
It is time to step back and let Islam reform itself one way or the other. Either they embrace the Extremist culture and ultimate expression of the Salafist way of Islam or they reform their religion and culture in a positive way that allows for the existence of and cooperation with others.
Islam at this point is a decrepit beast that is hell bent on a path that leads down the road to violent death. ISIS is nothing more than an Islamic Khmer Rouge.
If the Muslims wish for this and embrace it, they are our enemies. If they reject it, they can become something more and better.
However, if the West keeps fighting the battles that Muslims need to fight, they will never know who they are, what they can become and why they should or should not become whatever it is that they are to become.
The only thing that Obama and other Western “leaders” are doing at this moment is giving future generations future excuses to reject the West as interlopers and enemies of Islam. If the West defeats ISIS without letting Islam confront this “face of Islam,” we are simply giving future generations of Muslims an excuse to re-open this Pandora’s box when they too become disillusioned by the corruption and ignorance that prevails in the Middle East and other areas dominated by Islam.
We are simply transferring angst from one generation to the next. That angst needs to be let loose. It needs to be resolved by Muslims within Islam. This is humanity. This is what we do. No reform will come in Islam until ISLAM is allowed to face itself stark naked in the mirrors of the deserts of it’s own cultural soul.
Nothing in Iraq is about American Security. In the ’80s, our Iraq policy was about revenge and sowing division. In the ’90s, it was pure economics but advantaged for the dollar, Europe, India, Japan and China.
Now, I can’t really tell what it is. We false flagged our way into a decade of lunacy in Iraq to no apparent advantage. We’ve definitely sewn division amongst the Middle East.
What we’ve accomplished here is the pitting of Shi’a Iran against Sunni Saudi Arabia. We’ve made a showdown all but inevitable. The problem with this is that there is no guarantee that the current criminals who are our putative allies will actually be the power in Saudi Arabia. We have strengthened the Wahhabist movement in the Nejd at the expense of the Saudi Royals. Not that I am against that. I abhor the Saudi hypocrites.
I suppose now that the thing to do is to withdraw from the Middle East and await the inevitable showdown between the Saudi led Sunnis and the Irani led Shi’a.
Let them fight it out. That’s a good centuries worth of fighting there.
That will take Israel out of focus until Egypt gets dragged into the conflict. The seeds for this have already been laid.
even with Egypt, there is no guarantee that Israel would become a focal point. Instead Egypt could be led to focus upon Iran.
If the Saudis were smart, they’d ally themselves with Israel against Iran. There is precedent for alliances with infidel powers. Saladin did it. Several Muslim princes did so during the “Crusader era.”
It will all depend on who comes to power over the next several decades.
Does it matter that “the other” or, more specifically Christians have killed more humans in the last 100 years. Does this make it right and proper that ISIS should run through Iraq, Syria and elsewhere murdering wily nily simply because they haven’t met the quota for Leftist Euro outrage? What is the point of stating the obvious? Do so called “Christian Wars” justify the rampage of murder by the Islamists today?
And is it so obvious? Can you back up your statements with facts? Muslims fought, killed and died in massive numbers during the two “Great Wars” of the Twentieth Century. Do those deaths not count somehow? Do they not count because Muslims were fighting alongside Christians, Hindus, Zoroastrians, Animists and Buddhists? Only the Christians are culpable for those deaths? Why? Because you said so? Because you have decided that the West is to blame regardless of the event.
What about the Wars against Israel? Do they not count? Are only the Jews to blame for those wars or are Christians assigned that blame as well.
The Afghan Wars have been Islam vs Atheist Communism and Islam vs a secular West? Who gets credit for these wars? Is this automatically credited to Christianity since some of the soldiers who have fought in these wars are Christian? Even if they are not necessarily fighting for Jesus?
How many thousands or tens of thousands or, perhaps, millions have Saddam, the various Kings of Jordan and Saudi Arabia
murdered over the past 100 years? How many were killed by the Yemeni dictators? Omani despots? How many millions have died across Africa at the hands of Muslim rulers? Indonesia? How many Millions have died in India and
Pakistan at the hands of Muslims? How many thousands did Nassar kill? Arafat? Sukharno? Zia ul Haq?
Yet another question is this: How many have died at the hands of Islamic backwardness brought about by the despotism inherent in the nations wherein Islam holds sway?
Who has these numbers? What you have are not facts. They are assumptions. No one actually knows the facts as no one in the West really cares when Muslims kill Muslims.
Also, one has to wonder? Who gets credit for the current American wars and sub-Wars being waged by Obama. Is Obama really a Christian. No one can truly say with confidence. If I were President and I led this country to war, would Christians get the blame for my wars? I’m not Christian, yet, America is overwhelmingly Christian.
If one is going to speak of facts, one should actually put forth some effort at providing facts rather than spouting unsupported opinion not so cleverly poorly disguised as fact.
When we depart Afghanistan, we will be leaving thousands of partners who aided the US/Coalition effort.
Leaving them to their fate.
These folks, who are ALL MUSLIM, have risked their lives for meager pay. We pay them anywhere from 150.00 to 3000.00 monthly average but most make closer to 800.00USD. In the meantime, thousands of them have been beaten, threatened kidnapped and at the extreme murdered in cold blood along with their families.
I have huge problems with Islam and what I call the “Muslim mentality.” That said, these folks, all of whom are Muslim have aided in our efforts against the insurgency, al Qaeda and the Taliban. They’ve put their lives on the line for their country, for the US & Coalition and for us.
I can’t not admire that and I can’t help but feel some sense of shame for we shall abandon them just as we abandoned the Vietnamese, Lao, Khmer and, more recently, the Iraqis.
We did not have to come here. They did not have to accept us. Nonetheless, we came. We stirred up the hornet’s nest. We shall depart hailing ourselves as the Great Bringers of Democracy and Liberty.
They will stay, suffer and die. We are culpable here in the Stan just as we are for the events transpiring in Fallujah and Mosul.
I knew this kid. He works in a nan shop in Kabul right near where I was. I bought bread from him two or three times a week. I used to give him a Snickers bar when I bought fread. Five of those “loaves” hanging behind Petraeus cost about 1USD (50 Afs). Best bread in the world.
A Marine squad was marching north of Fallujah when they came upon an Iraqi terrorist who was badly injured and unconscious. On the opposite side of the road was an American Marine in a similar but less serious state.
The Marine was conscious and alert and as first aid was given to both men, the squad leader asked the injured Marine what had happened.
The Marine reported, I was heavily armed and moving north along the highway here, and coming south was a heavily armed insurgent. We saw each other and both took cover in the ditches along the road.
I yelled to him that Saddam Hussein was a miserable, lowlife scum bag who got what he deserved. and he yelled back that Barack Obama is a lying, good-for-nothing, left wing Commie who isn’t even an American.
So I said that Osama Bin Laden dresses and acts like a frigid, mean-spirited lesbian! He retaliated by yelling, Oh yeah? Well, so does Nancy Pelosi!
And, there we were, in the middle of the road, shaking hands, when a truck hit us.
No, I don’t think that to be the case. It’s not really about Islam generally speaking.
It’s more complicated than that.
Islam. Muslims. They’re not bad folks and many of them are damn fine people.
The problem that we won’t face is the Nejd.
Saudi Arabia owns it and has BLACK GOLD.
Also, the official religion of Saudi Arabia is the same form of Islam from which sprang all of the Fundamentalist Thugs who are terrorists. Saudi Arabia is a State Sponsor of Terrorism.
BUT because they have oil. It’s the truth that shall remain unspoken.
It is the evil with no name.
To speak it’s name is to reveal the truth.
It’s easier to keep the public ignorant and let a few hundred or a few thousand die at a time and keep the pipe line open to “cheap” oil.
What’s a few thousand civilians to Big Business and Big Government. Most of the ones who die don’t pay taxes or pay negligible taxes anyway. They don’t matter.
Saudi Arabia is the monster. Wahhabism is their little secret Dr. Frankenstein. Islamic Fundamentalism is the monster escaped from it’s dungeon.
It’s escaped before and the Muslims themselves went in and killed thousands of them in the Nejd while the Brits killed thousand more in the NWFP and the FATA in Central Asia.
Today, though, we choose to ignore the belly of the beast and instead, we “combat” the excretions.
Thousands, no, hundreds of thousands have died in the past 10 years.
To keep that Saudi oil pipeline open.
I disagree with waging this “Shadow War” against al Qaeda.
Announce to the world that it is our intention to destroy al Qaeda. They attacked our Nation. They declared War. We did not. This is the War desired by Osama bin Laden and his motley crue of Wahhabist thieves, cuthroats and murderers. They wanted it. They got it.
Announce that we will strike al Qaeda wherever they exist. Wherever they hide. In any hole. On any mountain. On any sea. In any place where al Qaeda deems it necessary to plant a parasitic, violent bud, we shall strike to root it out before it takes root.
Announce that if al Qaeda is allowed to plant operatives or to exist unmolested by the local populace, said populace will be accountable for the actions of al Qaeda and said population will be accountable for any and all deaths resulting from al Qaeda and their brothers and sisters. The fault lies with the folks who cooperate with al Qaeda.
Tell the NGOs and Humitarian Organizations of whatever stripe that we do no hold ourselves accountable for the deaths surrnouding al Qaeda. Whether it be bullets, cluster bombs or fragments of US munitions or suicide vests and IEDs from insurgents or al Qaeda operatives.
We did not want this war. Nevertheless, we have it. We intend to prosecute the war to it’s conclusion. The conclusion is the destruction of al Qaeda and it’s subordinate and parallel organizaations in whatever part of the world it may exist.
After that announcement is made, we, The United States of America, should bomb the Nejd and every place sacred to the Wahhabis. We should invade Saudi Arabia and hold Mekkah hostage all the while allowing the Hajj to continue unmolested. Circulate rumours that we have planted a nuclear device under the Ka’aba along with the intent to detonate said device should a strike occur on US soil.
Also, we should pull out all military resources that protect or support or otherwise maintains the power of any Islamic despot. From Cairo to Iraq and Afghanistan. Tell the people of the Islamic World that their governance is now up to them. If they show that they are worthy and willing to fight for Democracy and their share of the delights of Liberty and Freedom that we will at a time, deemed opportune to us, intercede on their behalf. We will support no country that has as a defining point in their National Statement or
beliefs the destruction of Israel or any other Democracy. Period. We will support no Nation that has as part of it’s Constitiution
Immediately halt all support for Pakistan, Afghanistan and Iraq until they actually come on line with a WESTERN AGENDA as opposed to an Islamist agenda. I would like to end all support of Islamic Countries period. I would include the protection of their shipping on the sea lanes. Let Iran fight it out with the Sunnis and afterward step in to pick up the pieces. These parties would slaughter each other. The West should precipitate such a crisis and then step in and pick up the pieces after they’ve murdered 2/3rds of each others populations.
Shariah Law. We will support no Nation which has as part of it’s national belief system the enslavement or disenfranchisement of minorities or women.
After this, we strike out at al Qaeda wherever they surface. If locals are killed. It is their fault for not having rooted out al Qaeda or for having allowed al Qaeda to plant roots.
Eventually, they’ll get the message. If al Qaeda is there, missiles will rain down in holy terror. If no al Qaeda is there, no missiles will arrinve.
We must halt our support of terrorising despots. We must support freedom and liberty. We must defeat al Qaeda.
As of now, we are losing this war. Especially when we allow them to plant their seeds of terror in our own front yard.
On the Muslim World
Muslims see themselves as a community. They always have and always will. The only way to stop that is to kill all of them. Christians think of themselves as a community as well. Christendom is a concept only recently gone out of fashion. There are mentions of Christendom from the 19th Century, I know. Europe was still speaking of Christendom until only recently. I think Churchill mentions it a few times. That was the 20th Century. It is not a foreign concept to think in terms of a World Wide Religious or Cultural community. We think of the West. The West is Christian. No matter how greatly this is denied by atheists and secularists within the West. The West is merely a more secular term for Christendom. The West is as guilty of this kind of speak as is Islam. The difference is that we, in the West, agree with Western Culture. We don’t see it as problem and arrogantly believe that the rest of the World should be overjoyed to join us. Muslim lands. Christan lands. During World War I and at the end of World War I, “The West” celebrated the return of the “Holy Land” to it’s rightful Christian hands by virtue of it’s capture after the defeat of the Ottoman Empire. The Ottoman Empire encompassed most of what we now speak of as the Middle East. Iraq, Syria, Turkey, Palestine, Israel, Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan and a few others were all part of the now defunct Ottoman Empire. This was considered the Muslim World or the Lands of the Mohamadens (Saracens) and spoken and written about as such by Christian or “Western” writers and historians. That some in our era do not understand the concept of Muslim lands is fairly meaningless. The Great Tides of History are against their ignorance. It’s simply that they are ignorant of the history of the region. Not their fault. Our schools are more interested in Political Correct thought processes than learning. If one truly desires to rail against this concept and this ideology, though, one should at least be aware of this history. Me, I don’t care what history says about Muslim lands. Prior to the Muslims, these lands were all Western (Roman) and/or Christian. Not that Christians ruled them justly either.
History also shows us that the most violent and war like culture wins out in the end. The winners determine the future and control history. Except in our current era, where idiotic pacifists, socialist, multi-culturalists and self defeatists in the West want to write history based strictly upon their feelings of guilt and ignorance of history. They remind me of mini-Pol Pot or Mao Tse Tung pretenders. The greatest threat to the West (Christendom) is not the Muslims or even Communist China. It is the 5th Column of corrupt leftists and extreme liberals within our own borders. In order to finally defeat the Islamic threat, we will need to defeat this 5th Column by making them irrelevant.
This is one of my biggest complaints about the media. They almost completely ignore any positive story or spin on anything. They’re all about manufacturing outrage.
