On the Middle East. Much of the violence in the Middle East can be directly traced to actions of outside interlopers since World War 1.
The Brits worked to place the Saudis in power after World War 1. America acted in concert with others to empower the House of Saud during and after World War II.
The Saudis are Wahhabis. The State Religion of Saudi Arabia is Wahhabist Islam. The Muslim Brotherhood is a Wahhabist Movement. Al Qaeda, al Jihad, ISIS and every other extremist Sunni Islamic organizations traces it’s origins to the Muslim Brotherhood and/or directly to the preachings of al Wahhab.
We created the beast which spawned the demons whom we fight in the War on Terror.
In the 50s, Kermit Roosevelt was sent by Ike and the Dulles Bros, at the behest of Britain and Anthony Eden, to depose Mossadegh who was Prime Minister of Iran. Mossadegh was deposed. The Shah was placed on the Peacock Throne of Iran by Kermit Roosevelt.
The Shah used his Savak to terrorize the people of Iran. He exiled Khomeini.
Carter weakened the Shah some 25 or 30 years later by speaking to Human Rights and withdrawing support.
Khomeini and his revolution are the progenitors of all Shi’a extremism. Khomeini and his Iranian Revolutionary Guards created Hezbollah.
No Kermit, no Shah. No Shah, no Khomeini. No Khomeini, no IRG. No IRG, no Hezbollah.
Vietnam plays a role here as well. Prior to Vietnam (and Iran), the US was seen as a champion of the downtrodden and a revolutionary victor over Colonialism.
After Vietnam, we became a colonial oppressor.
Cuba plays a role here as well. We attempted to deny Cuba self determination.
The US is no longer a champion of the oppressed people’s of Colonialism by our own actions. Instead, we are merely actors for Big Banks and Big Corporations.
This is how we are seen, with great justification, by much of the world.
Much of the terrorism aimed at us is directly attributable to our support of dictators and despots throughout the Middle East and Asia.
ISIS, al Qaeda and other Islamic Organizations feel that in order to take power from the House of Saud and other despotic regimes that they must attack us. We are the primary support for the Saudis and other despots. We have supported nearly every Sunni despot extant.
We supported Saddam before we deposed him. We gave him his initial batch of nerve agents and gave him the means to develop more. Then we used possession of these as rationale for attacking him.
We did the same thing to Noriega. As long as he was our man, we turned a blind eye to his drug trafficking. As soon as he decided that he wanted to go his own way, we defamed him and attacked him. I’ve read widely that the CIA actually assisted in his drug trafficking and money laundering before we turned on him.
The Middle East is a mess partially because the West disbanded the Ottoman Empire, partially because of the idiot Sukes-Picot agreement, partially because of oil profits, and partially because of the Sunni-Shi’a divide.
America has always pushed a divide and conquer agenda on the Middle East.
Now, we complain that they are divided and can’t or won’t come together.
If the Middle East were to come together as in the old days of the Qaliphate, does anyone think that they would do otherwise than what ISIS claims as a goal?
I don’t get it either. We get all poofed up over one guy getting his head chopped off with a long knife. We also get our panties bunched in a wad over 10,000 deaths to nerve gas.
We get exercised not at all at deaths by drones in the hundreds and collateral damage. The American President can assassinate a US citizen based on proofs only seen by our Elite and all knowing government. We can bomb civilians “back to the stone age.” We can invade a country based on lies. And no one seems to care.
I don’t see the difference.
The invasion of Iraq caused hundreds of thousands of deaths. We invaded Iraq based on lies. While our government covered up the guilt and involvement of Saudi Arabia whom we should have invaded.
Saudi Arabia funds and/or controls ISIS and al Qaeda. Yet, we ignore this.
As long as Saudi Arabia is our ally, Islamic extremism will be a part of the reality of life on planet Earth. Yet, we pretend that this is not so.
Even the Ottomans knew better than to empower the House of Saud. Yet, the all knowing American World Police treat with the Sauds as if they are just another nation. The House of Saud and their Wahhabist animal scum are the center of the issue. Saudi Arabia is ISIS. Saudi Arabia is the original Islamic State.
No Saudi Arabia, no Wahhabism.
No Wahhabism, no ISIS, no al Qaida, no Muslim Brotherhood.
When will we learn?
Except we wish no longer to learn truths and deal with them. Perpetual war is more profitable for our Banks. America rots as our banks and the men behind them control the conversation and the politics and the Presidents and the Congress.
The Grand Mufti of Egypt came out publicly against ISIS. Said that they are not of Islam.
When the Ottomans were in power, they blew up the Nejd when the Wahhabis first started trying to come out.
This Wahhabist nonsense that has turned Islam on it’s head is only about 250 years old. The problem is that it is the Saudi preferred Islam. Saudi Arabia has oil.
The first guy from the House of Saud to raise up and hold the Wahhabi flag was beheaded by the Ottomans. They waxed that idiot. They put down the rebellion. About 70 years passed and Egypt joined forces with Britain to put it down again.
It stayed down until Allenby let Lawrence raise the tribes in alliance to fight the Ottomans and then Britain half ass supported the nascent Saudi state. Saudi Arabia was born with Wahhabism as their national/official religion.
Then in WWII, that old senile FDR made Saudi Arabia a full ally of the West and started pumping dollars in there for oil exploration.
Suddenly, the Wahhabist were flush with dollars.
They put those dollars into spreading the very Islamic virus that the leaders of Islam had seen fit to put down. All the while, America and the West turned a blind eye…because OIL!
We did this to ourselves by allowing Saudi Arabia to become the richest oil producing nation on the planet. They took that money and spread their cancer.
Now, we ignore the root of the disease while vigorously fighting the symptoms.
Why? Because the leaders of the West are idiots…and our corporations are greedy.
They still make their money. They do not care about the chaos or the deaths of ordinary folks across the globe.
The greatest sin of America (or the West) is not racism or abu Ghraib or torture, rendition or My Lai. It is Saudi Arabia.
FDR & AMERICA CREATED THE ISLAMIC THREAT! We brought this Frankenstein to life. We are our greatest enemy.
They are a wake up call to the Muslim World.
ISIS is the ultimate expression of Islamic values at their most extreme. ISIS is the Spanish Inquisition of Islam. ISIS is a heinous, violent, vile organization that expresses it’s Islamist values at their ultimate Wahhabist/Muslim Brotherhood level of hate, exclusivity and intolerance for all others.
The Sunni Muslim world now has a choice. Embrace ISIS and show the world that Islam truly is a wretched religion of hatred and death OR reject ISIS and show the world that there is hope that Islam can normalize AWAY from the House of Saud’s death cult and it’s various branches in Hamas, al Qaeda, the Muslim Brotherhood, etc.
The Muslim world has a clear choice. Embrace ISIS’ Islam and reject the World community or reject ISIS and join the World community.
Islam or Muslims do not need to embrace Western commercialism as a culture. They do need to step out of the 14th Century and allow for the existence of other peoples and cultures.
This is why we need to allow the Muslim world to deal with ISIS. Stop interfering. If ISIS wins, we can deal with them at that point. Until such time as ISIS wins, the Muslims need to make choices and decide to embrace and support or reject and fight ISIS.
We have coddled these people for too long. We have protected despots, petty monarchs and dictators for far too long.
It is time to step back and let Islam reform itself one way or the other. Either they embrace the Extremist culture and ultimate expression of the Salafist way of Islam or they reform their religion and culture in a positive way that allows for the existence of and cooperation with others.
Islam at this point is a decrepit beast that is hell bent on a path that leads down the road to violent death. ISIS is nothing more than an Islamic Khmer Rouge.
If the Muslims wish for this and embrace it, they are our enemies. If they reject it, they can become something more and better.
However, if the West keeps fighting the battles that Muslims need to fight, they will never know who they are, what they can become and why they should or should not become whatever it is that they are to become.
The only thing that Obama and other Western “leaders” are doing at this moment is giving future generations future excuses to reject the West as interlopers and enemies of Islam. If the West defeats ISIS without letting Islam confront this “face of Islam,” we are simply giving future generations of Muslims an excuse to re-open this Pandora’s box when they too become disillusioned by the corruption and ignorance that prevails in the Middle East and other areas dominated by Islam.
We are simply transferring angst from one generation to the next. That angst needs to be let loose. It needs to be resolved by Muslims within Islam. This is humanity. This is what we do. No reform will come in Islam until ISLAM is allowed to face itself stark naked in the mirrors of the deserts of it’s own cultural soul.
On the Muslim World
Muslims see themselves as a community. They always have and always will. The only way to stop that is to kill all of them. Christians think of themselves as a community as well. Christendom is a concept only recently gone out of fashion. There are mentions of Christendom from the 19th Century, I know. Europe was still speaking of Christendom until only recently. I think Churchill mentions it a few times. That was the 20th Century. It is not a foreign concept to think in terms of a World Wide Religious or Cultural community. We think of the West. The West is Christian. No matter how greatly this is denied by atheists and secularists within the West. The West is merely a more secular term for Christendom. The West is as guilty of this kind of speak as is Islam. The difference is that we, in the West, agree with Western Culture. We don’t see it as problem and arrogantly believe that the rest of the World should be overjoyed to join us. Muslim lands. Christan lands. During World War I and at the end of World War I, “The West” celebrated the return of the “Holy Land” to it’s rightful Christian hands by virtue of it’s capture after the defeat of the Ottoman Empire. The Ottoman Empire encompassed most of what we now speak of as the Middle East. Iraq, Syria, Turkey, Palestine, Israel, Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan and a few others were all part of the now defunct Ottoman Empire. This was considered the Muslim World or the Lands of the Mohamadens (Saracens) and spoken and written about as such by Christian or “Western” writers and historians. That some in our era do not understand the concept of Muslim lands is fairly meaningless. The Great Tides of History are against their ignorance. It’s simply that they are ignorant of the history of the region. Not their fault. Our schools are more interested in Political Correct thought processes than learning. If one truly desires to rail against this concept and this ideology, though, one should at least be aware of this history. Me, I don’t care what history says about Muslim lands. Prior to the Muslims, these lands were all Western (Roman) and/or Christian. Not that Christians ruled them justly either.
History also shows us that the most violent and war like culture wins out in the end. The winners determine the future and control history. Except in our current era, where idiotic pacifists, socialist, multi-culturalists and self defeatists in the West want to write history based strictly upon their feelings of guilt and ignorance of history. They remind me of mini-Pol Pot or Mao Tse Tung pretenders. The greatest threat to the West (Christendom) is not the Muslims or even Communist China. It is the 5th Column of corrupt leftists and extreme liberals within our own borders. In order to finally defeat the Islamic threat, we will need to defeat this 5th Column by making them irrelevant.
We must realise that Islam is not our enemy. Muslims are not evil people. It is this virulent and violent form of Islam started by al Wahhab in the Nejd and spread like a plague across the globe by the Saudis in their oil funded madrassahs that are the enemy. The House of Saud must fall. Until it does, we will have these criminals amongst us and their numbers will continue to grow.
Osama bin Laden is but the latest thug to attempt to infect Islam with this disease through terror and violence. Study the history of Islam. Specifically, study the history of the Arabian Peninsula. Study the history of the British Raj of the late 1800s. Even the Ottomans fought the Wahhabis in the Nejd near the end of their Empire. There is precedent in history for the events of today. The Ottomans warred on the Nejd from Egypt in the 1700s and 1800s. Their fight was against these same followers of the doctrines of the apostate al Wahhab and the ancestors of the current Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Wahhabism must die. The sooner the better for all of the world– Muslims and non-Muslims alike.
A picture of the culprits. The criminals of the House of Saud and proliferates of the disease contracted from their forefathers.
Muhammad ibn ‘Abd Al-Wahhab ibn Sulaiman ibn Ali ibn Muhammad ibn Ahmad ibn Rashid Al-Tamimi (1703–1792) (Arabic: محمد بن عبد الوهاب التميمي) was an Islamic scholar born in Najd, in present-day Saudi Arabia. Despite never specifically calling for a separate school of Islamic thought, it is from ibn Abd-al Wahhab that the term Wahhabism derives.
This was due to the sayings of the prophet. Who said before his death, while on his death bed.
“May Allah curse the Jews and Christians for they built the places of worship at the graves of their Prophets”.
Alliance with the House of Saud
Upon his expulsion from ‘Uyayna, Ibn Abd al-Wahhab was invited to settle in neighboring Dir’iyya by its ruler Muhammad ibn Saud in 1740 (1157 AH). Two of Ibn Saud’s brothers had been students of Ibn Abd al-Wahhab in Uyayna, and are said to have played a role in convincing Ibn Saud to take him in. Ibn Saud’s wife is also reported to have been a convert to Ibn Abd al-Wahhab’s cause. Upon arriving in Diriyya, a pact was made between Ibn Saud and Ibn Abd al-Wahhab, by which Ibn Saud pledged to implement Ibn Abd al-Wahhab’s teachings and enforce them on neighboring towns. Beginning in the last years of the 18th century Ibn Saud and his heirs would spend the next 140 years mounting various military campaigns to seize control of Arabia and its outlying regions, finally taking control of the whole of modern day Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 1922. This provided the movement with a state. Vast wealth from oil discovered in the following decades, coupled with Saudi control of the holy cities of Mecca and Medina, have since provided a base and funding for Salafi missionary activity.
Ibn ‘Abd al-Wahhab considered his movement an effort to purify Islam by returning Muslims to what he believed were the original principles of Islam, as typified by the Salaf and rejecting what he regarded as corruptions introduced by Bid’ah and Shirk.
Although all Muslims pray to one God, ibn ‘Abd al-Wahhab was keen on emphasizing that no intercession with God was possible without His permission, which He only grants to whom He wills and only to benefit those whom He wills, certainly not the ones who invoke anything or anyone except Him, as these would never be forgiven,. Specific practices, such as celebrating the birth of the Islamic prophet Muhammad, were also deemed as innovations. He is hence considered by his followers to be a great revivalist of Islam, and by his opponents as an innovator and heretic. In either case, ibn ‘Abd al-Wahhab’s impact on Islam has been considerable and significant.
Ibn ‘Abd al-Wahhab also revived interest in the works of the Islamic scholar Ibn Taymiya.
The followers of this revival (see Salafism) are often called Wahhabis, though most reject the usage of this term on the grounds that ibn ‘Abd al-Wahhab’s teachings were the teachings of The Holy Prophet Muhammad(Peace Be Up on Him), not his own. Thus, most generally refer to themselves as Salafis, while during his lifetime they often referred to themselves muwahhidin (“monotheists”).
Ibn Abd al-Wahhab’s descendents are known today as “Al al-Shaykh” (“House of the Shaykh”). The family of Al al-Shaykh has included several religious scholars, including the former grand mufti of Saudi Arabia, Muhammad ibn Ibrahm Al al-Shaykh, who issued the fatwa calling for the abdication of King Saud in 1964. Both the current Saudi minister of justice and the current grand mufti of Saudi Arabia are also descendents of Ibn Abd al-Wahhab.
Perceptions of ibn ‘Abd al-Wahhab are varied. To many Muslims of the Salafi persuasion, ibn ‘Abd al-Wahhab is a significant luminary in the proud tradition of Islamic scholarship. A great number of lay Sunni Muslims regard him as a pious scholar whose interpretations of the Qur’an and Hadith were nevertheless out of step with the mainstream of Islamic thought, and thus discredited. Some scholars regard him as a pious scholar who called people back to worship of Allah according to the Qur’an and Sunnah. Others, often Sufis, regard him as a one who stopped at nothing to gain power and manipulate others. Natana DeLong-Bas, meanwhile, has recently published a self-described “controversial” book that complicates the idea that ibn ‘Abd al-Wahhab contributed to the “militant stance of contemporary jihadism.”
These are the madmen whom we empower through oil consumption.
He is totally correct here. The American people and especially those on the left will not wake up to the threat of Islam until we lose a city.
The Islamic radicals will finally find success in their evil endeavors. It is almost inevitable.
America refuses to take the threat seriously. I give it ten years. It matters not if we are successful or a failure in Afghanistan, Iraq or both. My opinion. One city in America gets nuked. Mekkah should be the first retaliatory target. If that doesn’t get them the message.
Any belief system that employs children as suicide bombers is unworthy of existence. Period. The Saudis expect the United States of America to sit and take lectures on tolerance when you can’t find one Church, one Temple or one Synagogue on Saudi soil?
And we sit silently and take it because of OIL.
I don’t want to hear it from Democrats. It was a Democratic President who signed the deal with the devils in the first place. His name was FDR. And every President since, no matter party affiliation, has continued to suck at the teat and bend at the knee to the House of Saud. All of you Brits can keep silent as well. Mossadegh was taken out by the CIA at the request of none other than Winston Churchill. France. Everyone knows the cowardly history of French Colonialism. Russia is no better than anyone else. China and India will soon learn.
FDR, Truman, Ike, Camelot and his family of Mafioso wannabes, LBJ, Tricky Dicky, Jimmah the Peacemaker, Reagan, Bush I, Clinton and our current Bushie.
By my count that is 6 Democrat Presidents and 5 Republicans. For most of that period, we had a Democratic Congress.
NOT ONE DEMOCRAT should say a word about oil wars or kissing the Royal and Gilded Saudi buttocks.
