Jesus Christ, Buddha and George Takei

“Zi Gong asked, saying, “Is there one word that may serve as a rule of practice for all one’s life?” The Master said, “Is not reciprocity such a word?” – Confucius

I agree with Takai.

Furthermore, it is time for Christians to take stock of their belief and the words of the “Lord and Savior.”

Did he not command you to love the least of him as you would love him?

I see no caveat to this in the Bible. I saw a clear statement.

Did he not say judge not lest you, yourself, be judged?

If you are Christian and you treat others with disrespect, you are no Christian.

“I myself am a Buddhist, not a Christian. But I cannot help but think that if Christ ran a public establishment, it would be open to all,” Takei noted. “He would be the last to refuse service to anyone. It is, simply put, the most un-Christian of notions.”

Hurt not others in ways that you yourself would find hurtful.

Udanavarga 5:18

Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

~ Jesus Christ

“That which is hateful to you, do not do to your fellow. That is the whole Torah; the rest is the explanation; go and learn.”

~ Talmud, Shabbat 31a
“What you do not wish for yourself, do not do to others.”
~ Confucius

If the entire “Dharma” (spiritual and moral laws) can be said in a few words, then it is — that which is unfavorable to us, do not do that to others. (Padmapuraana, shrushti 19/357–358)

“That nature alone is good which refrains from doing unto another whatsoever is not good for itself” (Dadistan-i-dinik 94:5).

And for the hell of it…coz I think it’s cool:
