Actually, primary motivator for Roman Wars was the accrual of slaves for markets. Muslim Empires were same. Slavery might not have been the only motivator, but it was ONE of them. Twas a right strong one as well. However, all wars boil down to economics. No Nation goes to war without an eye towards booty. Not even the good ol’ US of A. Reply
